He was still presenting it late last year at the very least, I listened to a couple of new episodes then. A trooper till the end (he was probably a horrible Brexiteer )

He missed the last 2 episodes of the last series due to illness. So yeah he was doing it right to the end. It was the same with Humphrey Lyttleton and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue; they were actually on tour and he had to miss the last night or two to go into hospital and I'm not sure the operation even happened before he died.
