Ooh I like the look of this. Disc 1 is basically Discography, and I've always wanted them to continue that with a parts 2 & 3.

Yeah I saw this. Quite attractive to to someone like me who has always liked a fair bit of what they’ve done but strangely never bought anything.

Living In The Past sounds like a continuation of the bitter tat which clogged up Elysium. Smash looks like fun though :disco:

*doesn’t even buy it*

Oh I now see that it’s about Putin. Interest levels not massively increased :)

Really didn't care for the PSB growing up but I have very slowly discovered their wider catalogue and become quite the fan.

A quick look at my Spotify tell me that this is my Top Ten:

1. Leaving
2. West End Girls
3. Minimal (Tocadisco mix)
4. I Don't Know What You Want But I Can't Give It Anymore
5. Love Life
6. The Pop Kids
7. It's A Sin
8. Home And Dry
9. Miracles
10. Suburbia

Good #1! Leaving is an incredible song sadly lost on their worst ever album.

Our love is dead
But the dead are still alive
In memory and thought
And the context they provide

:( :( :( :(

I actually think it was Leaving that made me explore them more. It's a relatively recent thing.

It's beautiful.

Have you checked out Dreaming of the Queen, @funky ? That's in a similar ballpark to Leaving's moody cerebral heartbreak IMO.

The Queen said, "I'm aghast,
Love never seems to last...
However hard you try"
And Di replied...

That there were no more lovers left alive
No-one has survived
So there were no more lovers left alive
and that's why love has died...

I'm also a huge fan of this deep cut from their album with Liza Minnelli.

There's a hole in the sky
As distant and vast
As our moral vacuum
And growing as fast...

I think Neil may be my all-time favourite lyricist.

Dagnabbit, I know I'm going to end up buying this for the Blu-rays. I wish they were available on their own. Still, looks like a nice wee box.

Those first two tracks for me are the best. I wasn't a huge fan of the 'single', it doesn't really go anywhere. And high camp club track Kaputnik is probably the fan favourite. But The Lost Room and I Will Fall are what I want from PSB in 2023.

I must be different because I think Skeletons is the stand-out song!

...mind you, if they keep supporting that awful fucking terf they're chums with, I might just skip it.

Did anyone watch the PSB night stuff from BBC2 last night?

Haven't seen the At the BBC show yet but loved Reel Stories with Dermot. The time they spent on Dusty was wonderful, and Neil seemed to be almost misty eyed :(

God, "I Will Fall" is bloody gorgeous and one of my fave songs by them now!

So I really like Noel Gallagher's new album as it contains some very well written anthemic guitar tracks, including this:

But get a load of the PSB remix, which takes a very uplifting melody and absolutely smothers it with :disco:
