This has just come up a couple of times this week after not hearing it for ages. I always quite liked Space over a lot of the other Brit Pop acts as they seemed a bit more distinctive.

The xylophone is rather an underrated instrument in popular music.

Spiders was a huge back of the car album for me in my childhood.

I love this.

I went through a Space phase as a teen because I got really into Catatonia (after Cerys was on I'm a Celeb wrecking homes :disco:) and they had that song about Tom Jones together...

Space were square in the middle of my Chart Show days so that Spiders album had done memorable singles.

they were always a bit more quirky than the usual straight-faced Britpop, that Catatonia duet was a perfect match. Strange they sort of fizzled out after that.

I may have even bought Neighbourhood as a Cassingle

I've gotta get out of this place :eyes:

Avenging Angels has been on my radar a lot recently. Why on earth did they just vanish? (into space!! LOL)

I'm reading Edwyn Collins cast his spell on album #3 that was internet only or something?

I loved the two big single and bought the album, but it got little play really. This remains a stone cold 10/10 though.
