Watched this tonight, just wow so good !
Maybe not the best film to watch in a pandemic when I haven’t seen my family for months and don’t know when I will again. My god I cried at this ! But also so many funny moments too

It really was beautiful.
I very belatedly watched this and god I really got emotional at the end. I think I expected some grand denouement where she revealed she knew she was dying and they had a proper goodbye conversation. but no. 
I feel really emotionally gutted but I think how it played out was the right choice. a lovely, touching, sometimes funny but ultimately quite sad piece of cinema.
the cast was so amazing - Billi, Billi's mother, Nai Nai and her sister WON MY HEART. it was certainly a family of strong WOMEN and uninteresting MEN! also, killer soundtrack - transcendent in places - and spectacular cinematography. very much looking forward to what Lulu Wang does next.
