The Wednesday of DOOM

Mr. Slave always puts on his out of office "I am currently on annual leave. If your e-mail is urgent, please contact X or send it to me again when I am back in the office. All other e-mails received during this time will be deleted"

It never ceases to RUFFLE A FEW FEATHERS.

I wouldn't allow that either! Though in fairness, I guess he isn't in any sort of customer facing role, so it doesn't matter QUITE as much, but FUCK THAT in my industry! I'd go mental if one of my staff was doing that...

I’m in Kyushu, in the south. It’s supposed to be warmer but IS IT BOLLOCKS

A bit of a not-much day after flying in, tomorrow I’ll start some proper touristing.

I bought a “hot dog” from a food stand at a park, which turned out to be a hot dog roll with a SLICE OF HAM, loads of mayonnaisey cabbage and some ketchup all grilled. NOT A SAUSAGE. Wtf

We kicked off this morning's team call with everyone having to share their Christmas highlights.

I have already mentally killed everyone on my team.

We had the same!! I normally miss the morning meetings as I'm late after doing the nursery drop but as there was no traffic today I made it :zombie:

Oh where did you go? I went to three prefectures last year, I’m back to check off the others now!

We hired a car in Beppu and drove to Takachiho, Aso, kurokawa onsen & Yufuin. Which I think is three of the prefectures.

Oh all the info says “it’s best to get a rental car” :) yes bitch I’ll just pull some more money out my arse

I wanted to visit Takachiho but I couldn’t squeeze it in... I’m in Miyazaki today, of to Kagoshima and Kumamoto too, visiting two volcanoes, so I’ll probably die

My cheapo business hotel has a free porn channel but all straight sadly. This girl is really noisy

Is it sweet potato season in Kyushu now?

Good Afternoon Moopy. I am feeling pretty damn good today although I am still immersed in festive goings on. My skin is shoddy, and I have put on half a stone, and think I am looking forward to when everything gets back to normal come Monday. For now though, let’s finish off all the crap in the house and be merry. :disco:

My gym was closed today which is of course the only excuse I needed to continue my house cat adventures

Christ, two days in a row now, I've almost passed out, with what I suspect is low blood sugar.

Hopefully the suspect is the antibiotics rather than anything worse. I DO NOT NEED DIABETES.

I’ve booked my personal trainer for Friday which is when fitness begins again. I’ve got a lovely glass of red in my hand for now. If you count yesterday as drinking as I did after midnight on NYE, the last time I didn’t have a drink was November 19th. Whoops!

Have a rusk

Have you spoken to the chemist Ag? It could be just that the antibiotics don't agree with you. Last year when I thought I was going to die it turned out to be a reaction to penicillin which I'd never had a problem with before. Unfortunately I still had to take the rest of the course so had another week of it.

The mounds of cheese, chocolate, cakes, biscuits and booze still in here is unbelievable. We shall graze on what we fancy until Sunday and then I am giving it all away. I hate waste.

And I'm STILL PISSED OFF that my mother bought me a box of liquorice novelties for Christmas

How was your trip to Europe Jae? Are you still here?
I'm back! No words can describe the architecture, the food was easier to get used to than expected (goulash is my new favourite soup) and the weather was pretty warm by winter standards. The overall tour experience was every bit for tourists, though discussing history was visibly difficult for nearly all the guides.

"In Hungary, a lot of us don't know what to make of LV and Gucci. Branded goods don't mean to us what it means to foreigners. It may take another generation to get over the communist days. It's not happening in my time."

"Every year in spring summer, American tourists would come to Salzburg, come to the same place and dance the same dance, and sing the same songs. No one understood what's going on, until they told us it's from The Sound of Music. The sound of what music? Turns out it was a movie set in World War II. But in Austria, we don't like to talk about World War II. Especially not after Hitler."

I like parma violets. I'd have eaten them.

I remember Marc Jacobs did a perfume that was exactly like Parma Violets; it was really expensive (no, really...) and disappeared in the proverbial flash. I keep hoping someone will rip it off but no joy thus far.

YSL's Paris is pretty violetty. Quite powdery, though.

And I wear Molton Brown's Apuldre (although I think it may have been discontinued) which has violet leaf in it and is unisex.
