tv shows you've seen in 2020

finished the second season of kidding. it's a bit wacky and silly but it's also quite smart and pretty moving.
michel gondry is involved so definitely check it out if you like eternal sunshine of a spotless mind and i loved frank langella in this.

I'm only part way through the second series. I enjoy it for the most part and was quite pleased when Jeff got his haircut.

Finished season 1 of Bosch and I liked it, the closest thing to a procedural show without all the grossness that comes with something like Criminal Minds. Good thing there are five more seasons.

watched breeders a sleepless night ago. it's an interesting watch and occasionally pretty funny. between that and better things i feel like i'm in an anti-children loop.

I have two episodes left of Breeders. It is pretty good, and thankfully there is more to it than father swearing at small children = funny.

Watched the first episode of the new Penny Dreadful and I’ll give it a couple more but that first episode was rather boring.

I watched the bizarre musical puppets episode of Kidding randomly featuring Ariana Grande last night. Let me just say I hope normal service is resumed with the next one.

Watching Definitely Dusty documentary from 1999. Lulu was up immediately: face dripping in flora, pretending she wasn't jealous at all. Lesbians in zippers have also featured already.

Anyway, I love listening to Dusty speak. She seemed quite lovely.

Watched all of New Girl, which I found myself loving a lot more than I thought. Schmidt and Cece <3

Also Dead to Me

And now watching Good Girls.

I started Dead to Me. Before and after I wasn't sure what the point of a 2nd series would be. I do like the air head receptionist though. I'm thinking this could end up feeling a bit Cougar Town, which I'm fine with I guess.

Watched the first episode of I Know This Much is True and while the performances are good I don’t know if I need so much misery in my life.

Finished Never Have I Ever on Netflix last night, I loved it. Such a sweet and funny show. I hope we'll get a second season.

Finally watching Breaking Bad (episode 6). With the connected shows I've got a pleasing amount to binge through.

Finished Perry Mason last night. I don’t think I really enjoyed it, the case was blah and it felt like a show with 2020 ideas set in the 1930s. I like the cast but I don’t know if I’ll bother with season 2.

might you have persevered with Penny Dreadful and if positive, how did you find it? I am most undecided whether I should give it a go (the run with Eva Green was very enjoyable trash)

i think I stopped after episode 2, it felt like it was going nowhere. It even had the same character as Perry Mason (both inspired by the same lady preacher)

I did think they looked alike! I'll pass for now and save it for depression

I’m a bit disappointed in the ending on Perry Mason. The episodes leading up to the finale were really good. Either way, I like a period drama so I’m glad it will get another season.

I Know This Much Is True was bleak as fuck and a marathon of misery but so so good. Great cast, and Juliette Lewis getting to act batshit crazy again was nice to watch.

I finished Penny Dreadful yesterday and Perry Mason this evening. Perry Mason in particular was quite a slog, I won't be going back for the second season. Penny Dreadful didn't live up to its predecessor but warmed up as it went on, though I'm not sure there is a need for any more. Natalie Dormer's sucking on a lemon face as the councilman's aide was fun.

The Good Place season 4 finished.

The Politician seasons 1 & 2 finished.

Orange is the New Black season 1 finished. Onto the next ones.

I never bothered finishing the last season of OitNB. but the first coupla ones are primetime tv

I think I’ve skipped the last two seasons of Orange... last one I saw was the one when they took over the prison.

I finished HBO miniseries Show Me a Hero from 2015 about Yonkers right outside New York. It was good, great cast with the always delightful Catherine Keener.

It’s awful how such open racism exists even in the democratic heartland.

I'd like to get OITNB finished but I haven't got past the middle of series 6 and haven't for about 6 months. There's just too many characters in it now I don't know/care about

I watched the first season of OITNB a few years back and liked it but can't summon the enthusiasm to dive back in to slog through the rest of the seasons for apparently diminishing returns.

Just finished the third season of Get Shorty, now featuring Michaela Watkins in a winningly awful role. I see it hasn't been renewed yet and aired last Autumn in the States so I guess that might be it.

Also midway through Little Birds, which is very enjoyable and gorgeous to look at. Perhaps slightly less filthy than I was expecting, though the first episode did feature Jenny from Teachers waxing lyrical on the erotic thrill of a public hanging.

OITNB really lost momentum towards the end, I do think we should do a GUARD RATE though.

Pornstache and Piscatella for me.

A quick look at Piscatellas IMDB profile with pics of hin without a beard makes me realize he looks just like Harvey Weinstein. :square: (Still would though)

Luschek for me :horny:

Of course and this pig too!

The one who lost his arm looks hot, I don’t know if I’ve seen that season.

'twas a good one! he knocked Daya up in a utility room and Pornstache's mum ended up adopting the baby. life, oh life...
