What Are You Watching? 2022

Finished Flamingo Road (1949). It really has all the classic Crawford tropes, but she really does deliver (which is also no surprise). However, I now see it is also the name of an early 80s soap opera starring Morgan Fairchild. Tempting.

I'm obviously known for my great taste in everything....and TV is no different.

Having finished Below Deck a few months ago, we have replaced it with Selling Sunsets. And it's one of the best things on TV :disco:
Have you done Below Deck Med and Australia too ? :o

2 more. What a productive day I've had.

Turn the Key Softly (1953). An early role for Joan Collins where she plays the challenging role of a bitch. I thought this was a good premise and decent enough result.

Girls In Prison (1956). I liked this one. When 3 escape I felt like I was watching a 1950s Bananarama. 2 of the leads dominate the glamour very well. A total b picture though.

We haven't done Australia yet because I was waiting for the full series to be available on Hayu so I can binge watch it then cancel! I've heard the captain is hot.

He is indeed and Aesha is chief stew and she's a lot of fun !

Gonna try the new C4 drama starting tomorrow with James Nesbitt and Joely Richardson and loads of others...'Suspect' think @Rita may like this one

I've watched a couple of this and I am really not sure. The format is different and it is a good cast (though Jimmy Nesbitt is grating a bit) but it feels kind of cheap and almost Channel 5 standard.

Oh yes, I have series linked it already. Sam Heughan is in it (:horny:) and I haven’t watched him in anything outside Outlander and I think he may well be the reason I have stuck with that for so long.

How far have you got with Outlander? I think I made it as far as the fourth season. It should be my sort of thing but some of the episodes felt so bloody long, and it got increasingly slow.

I am half way through season 5, and I wouldn’t say it has picked up much since season 4. I am not really all that keen on them in America, and as lovely as it was initially when Brianna and Roger came through the stones I am wishing them back through to 1971. I think they take away from the Jamie and Claire dynamic. I will see it out though as I only have a season and half to go then I will be glad to have a bit of a break.

Yes I also much preferred it before the move across the Atlantic. Brianna was not my favourite either.

Sherwood (BBC) has gone fucking excellent this week. Like Happy Valley with a few drops of Line Of Duty / Life On Mars, and some nice lefty social history for good measure. Annoying it's not a boxset and eps 5 and 6 aren't til next week.

I'd not like to be murdered with a crossbow.

Oh and I watched the first season of Outlander, and found it so fucking weird! Total mummy porn, and for weirdo sci-fi/fantasy-fan mums at that.

I caught some late night series on BBC1 last night and was strangely hooked - 'Everything I know about Love' - kind of an annoying British sex and the city? :D

I've been watching this as well. It is annoying but very enjoyable at the same time.

Very much hoping that is the end of 'Street'

It's all on iplayer isn't it? I watched episode 3 last night, will probably binge an ep a night after Love Island for the rest of this week. Cos I'm crazy like that :disco:

Taskmaster: Champion of Champions.

So happy Liza Tarbuck is back on my TV. She's just my favourite person.

I'm up to date with this now. Really good stuff and definitely Happy Valley-esque.

The Bridge has been really this year! I’ve not binged watched it so don’t know the final outcome but some very good reality TV “characters” that would have been gold in big brother’s prime and lots of fuckery from the producers.

I think my favourite is the woman with a stitched up knee who sits about doing fuck all “I only work 4 hours a day at home”. And the drama of Crystal going and then coming.

Just started Flight Attendant season 2. Does anyone know who played Will, the hunky guy she was following in episode 1?

I'm three episodes in to season 2 and am finding it quite hard work.

Was this any good in the end? I have it on my planner and not sure whether to watch or delete.

AJ was the best thing about the recent series of The Bridge. Did not conceal one bit of glee at delivering each twist or big decision.

I just binge watched The Baby, a great premise and thankfully 8 half-hour episodes, any longer and the novelty would have worn off.

My moaning about the quality of this season of The Flight Attendant notwithstanding, I just watched the last episode and I enjoyed it. Fun, but definitely best to leave it there.

I have 2 series of Celebs Go Dating to watch. I've started the one with Gary Lineker's younger, but not young, brother.
