Which national finalist losers this year would have done better in Rotterdam?

Given the gaypop multicar pileup we ended up with this year PLEASE resist the opportunity to just name all the ones you wanted to win in the first place

I reckon this would've had a good shot at making the left hand side of the scoreboard for Norway

Now I feel like Rena rama ding dong COULD have done better, although a lot of it would've been riding on how much it could rile up a mass televote given it almost certainly would've been starting on under 10 points from the juries :D

I also think Monument would have done better. Not top ten, but around 15-17th.

I'm not actually sure there were all that many missed chances this year, which is unusual. Maybe a few things in Eesti Laul could've scraped a few more points but I'm not sure any were qualifiers, and maybe Blas's other song could've reached the heady heights of 7 points? So I'll just submit my favourite gay-interest song not already covered instead:

Rena Rama Ding Dong would have had the exact same trajectory as the Danish entry and you’re kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

The juries would’ve LOVED this (well, they’d put it about eleventh)

Oh come on! It has a blatant idiot-on-the-street novelty vote appeal in a way the Danish entry just didn't at all.

Leto svet was actively disgusting. Rena rama ding dong was entering a JA JA DING DONG WORLD

Also literally nobody involved in Rena rama ding dong looked like someone mugging at the camera in the hope they might fondle your kids while you were distracted.

I’m sure RRDD would have gotten some televotes. But it would’ve been killed by the juries just as viciously as Denmark. Unless you seriously think it was a potential televote TOP FIVE :D

You know, I really WOULDN'T RULE IT OUT :D

(I reckon it could've managed it in the semi, although looking at the points spread you actually might be right that it would've been QUITE the ask - it probably would've needed to tie with Russia on televotes to safely get through)

It was up against Clara Klingenström in AC wasn't it? Trying to imagine that TRAIL OF HORROR had it made it :D

I don't know if it was because there were so many returning artists this year, but I wasn't feeling it with this NF season the way I usually do. There were still some smashers, but some (Lithuania and Estonia especially) were just total duds.

Given the success of rock this year, maybe "Faith Bloody Faith" was the missed opportunity for Norway.
