It doesn’t kick off for another seven months but we nearly have all the confirmed teams and the draw takes place tomorrow, so we may as well have an official thread.

Too many Anglosaxon teams! :o
(but maybe Scotland and Wales don’t count as Anglosaxon and it’s maybe unlikely that both Aus and NZ would make it?).
 
Is the no more than 2 UEFA nations in the same group rule still in place?

If so that’s a faff to work out based on the pots.
 
Did Russia qualify and get banned or not qualify anyway? I can't remember

They reached the play-offs but were kicked out before they began.

:david: Australia are not yet through to the intercontinental playoff vs Peru - they still have to beat the United Arab Emirates in the AFC playoff
 
Watching the draw and it remains mortifying that this tournament has been sent to Qatar.

I love that they are still bothering with the tension music when they are drawing the red ball for the group position.

I do hope you get an easy group, it’d be nice to see Scotland make the knock-outs.
 
Presumably, if an Asian team come out first in the next round, they’ll go into the England group.
