10. Word Is Out

01. What Do I Have To Do (so utterly ultra - her summit is a non stop wave)
02. Better The Devil You Know (her vocals are on full beam here and she has never sounded so confident, at ease and connected to the hysteria of what liking Kylie full pelt feels like)
03. Put Yourself In My Place (the video was apt - it's another galaxy)
04. Shocked (god this is so close to being the most insane thing I could ever hope to hear, but it's a little on the slight side production wise)
05. Step Back In Time (the original Deee-Lite knock off video remains a hoot, but this is a blue sky disco moment that just glides and disco squats tirelessly)
06. Breathe (even if it triggers post Jo Whiley stress disorder as I always remember the justified hatred I felt when the DJ grimaced with enjoyment as she patronizingly declared Kylie "gets cooler every year" - the video was totally ripped off by both Massive Attack and hospitals when they pretend it's your baby and not just a blue lit screengrab of Breathe)
07. GBI (Geisha Kylie style is how sales assistants in BHS were trained to sell her bed linen range: that they closed soon after a mere coincidence)
08.Some Kind of Bliss. Little baby nothing grew up into some Paula Yates in a Levi's ad character picking up guys at the Shell garage whilst looking like she'd do anything for a magnum was quite the surprise. I feel like she changed lives with this on TFI Friday. Of course, Dannii was the one encouraging her to go indie whilst she emailed every producer she could think of a copy of Olive's You're Not Alone saying "can you get me one of these ploise?"
09. Where is the Feeling? It's almost a bit too Incognito (Always There), but those vampish verses are everything the world sultry could ever hope to convey.
10. In Denial. The lyrics are terrible, but this made its debut to me in the most beautiful way when I saw her back in 2005. It was art and that is final.

No 'Where the Wild Roses Grow'? :eyes:

Dusted this one off. Mel C could never, etc.

It really needed a strut during the instrumental bit and a lot more attitude. She looks a bit awkward, bless her. What amazing skin she has always had (which makes that time she had foundation slathered on like cream on a cake all the more bizarre).

It's more PJ Harvey than Mel C to me and I think that explains the make-up and yes I love it naturally. :disco:

Oh I'd love Kylie to have an album like Is This Desire? The gays lit uuuup, etc.
Well I think this perf on TFI Friday gives me To Bring you my Love era PJ Harvey with the dress and caricature type make-up. In fact I'd have loved it if Miss Minogue had turned up the make-up even further.

But I'm glad she went back to pop after the Impossible Princess era. She just looked miserable all the time. :(

I'm sure there was a live performance in the 90s of Death is Not The End where Kylie and PEEJ shared the SAME STAGE.

I'm obviously getting mixed up with her performance alongside Sinead and Natalie Imbruglia on TFI Friday.

Sorb's post got me thinking. I know she was under contract with PWL at at the time but if she had originally recorded Little Baby Nothing as intended we'd most likely be looking at a very different Kylie history.

Oh and maybe Richey wouldn't have gone missing too. This is all very Sliding Doors..
