Well I had the Abba album and the 2nd album but I have no clue where they are now

I don't know too much of their stuff, but what i've heard I LOVE. WOuld I be better getting their albums or just the greatest hits?
 
I cant recall thinking much of New Arrival, but then again that means I missed Closer to perfection, which is a HEINOUS OVERSIGHT.

I loved Teen Spirit personally, but I suppose the GH would be a wise choice

Mhh.
I'd go for the "Teen spirit" album and maybe the "Greatest Hits"...if you like their Abba-Covers. I personally don't like them TOO much.

I am still not sure what exactly the differences between "Pop til you drop" and "New arrival" actually are.
 
Oh I don't want any of their Abba stuff. Just the original stuff. Is the GH full with ABBA or summat?
 
Marie Serneholt's solo album is really quite NIFTY too. Shame they released I Need A House and Oxygen when they had I Love Making Love In The Morning and Wasted Love...
 
mm im not so sure about I Love making love .. its good, but a bit sickly

Pop Til You Drop was released first I think? In America? 7 of its tracks are on New Arrival along with another 7 new tracks that are just on the New Arrival CD.

Teen Spirit is a great pop album, but I'm preferring New Arrival nowadays. Closer To Perfection is obviously their peak, but Floorfiller, Cross My Heart, Have A Little Faith In Me, Perfect Match, One Night In Bangkok and so forth are all great as well.
 
I had the URGE to see the Halfway round the world video, amazing!

As is the I Promised Myself video *misty*

It's SHIT. When they took 7 tracks from the CD onto "New Arrival" they picked pretty well - though "Hi & Goodbye" should've made it, as it's rather good.

"In The Blink Of An Eye" I've started liking more lately, too.
 
Closer to Perfection is MORE than close to being perfect.

It's one of the best things to happen to pop music of the last 5 years.

Floorfiller, Halfway Round The World and Upside Down are more than worth a mention, too.
 
I say this in every A*Teens thread (so I've said it maybe once before), the video to 'I Promised Myself' is a lesson in how retrospective videos SHOULD be done. It works so well for me and I know three of their videos whilst a lot more are used.
 
I remember Vengaboys, No Angels all had their goodbye videos.
The songs to these videos are often good so it's a shame it's the last song..
 
I must admit to feeling quite excited when 'Closer To Perfection' was played about six months ago at a pseudo-PopJustice style night at work.

Anyway my rate (haven't listened to the A*Teens for ages but did get right into them about three years ago):

I picked two of the albums up for £1 each in an HMV sale years ago... haven't looked back since. Quality Swedish pop at its finest!

Albums wise I've got:

1. Greatest Hits
2. The ABBA Generation
3. New Arrival
4. Pop Til You Drop!
5. Teen Spirit
6. Teen Spirit [New Version]

Världen, I'll sort those tracks out now. I'm not really that keen on either, to be honest...
