Natalie would be fine too. I've seen Oti mentioned, but one episode of whatever that Cowell dance programme was called is enough to convince me that isn't a good idea.
 
This totally overshadowed the news that Robbie and Ayda have opted out of X Factor this year, didn't it?
 
Bonnie Langford (!) in the frame according to the M*** on S*****.

Elsewhere it is being reported they definitely want a female with a ballroom and Latin background, with Camilla Dallerup apparently being considered. She's judged on the New Zealand version of the show, but wouldn't be top of my list of past pros.

Didn't everyone just assume they'd only be in it for the year? The X Factor panel is a revolving door anyway with the show being 'reinvented' every year, while part of Strictly's success is the comfortable familiarity and changes being incremental.

Ayda was alright but Robbie was AWFUL. Is it confirmed it’s going to be an All Stars year?

Well, he was only there for about half the shows anyway :D

That breakfast radio show and It Takes Two five days a week is a pretty big ask.

Edit: Ah well, it makes more sense if it's him substituting her. Although he's fucking terrible.

My reading of it is he is co hosting WITH Zoe so I assume she will be bowing out after this series.
 
Rylan is way too low rent for this gig, but saying that there's been a change in producers on SCD and that usually means people making stupid decisions to 'leave their mark', 'shake it up', etc.

I suspect I'm in a minority, but I'm thrilled to see Rylan getting good gigs. I generally like him.
 
I admire his professionalism, but I'm very much out of It Takes Two if he's hosting it.
 
Hopefully he brings the BBBOTS audience members with him. :disco:
 
Not casting Anton would be a mistake. As already mentioned, familiarity is a big part of SCD’s longevity so moving Anton from one part of the floor to another means no major changes but they can finally get rid of him as a pro without alienating his fanclub. He’d be more useful as a judge anyway - his choreography is even worse than he is.

I actually really love Bonnie Langford though, so that would be great!
 
I like Bonnie, I really do. But I fear she would be too much of an Alesha choice.
 
I never really was a fan of Rylan until he did Eurovision and I must say, I was impressed. He knew his stuff, had researched properly, and was a really nice guy when I was in his company (albeit for about 20 minutes). Compared to Scott Mills who always came across as thinking he was better than the show, and Graham Norton who is clearly only doing it for the money, it was nice to have someone who had affection for the show.

With Zoe's increased workload I suppose it was inevitable her work on ITT would be scaled back (and maybe eventually phased out). I think Rylan may be ok, I'm sure he'll pitch it differently than BOTS. As much as I enjoy Zoe, I think a different face with a different approach doing some of the weekly interviews will help keep the show a bit fresher over the run.

I do like Gethin, and I thought he did fine when he stood in for Zoe but I guess they wanted somebody a bit more lively.
 
The Sun appears to be going in on Kevin from Grimsby, with stories of his relationship with Stacey, his second wife's overdose, and Karen dropping the name Clifton for the next series.
 
I feel like KFG is in the same file as Anton - someone SCD is willing to protect at all costs.

Strictly have denied that Katya is being demoted, saying no decisions have yet been made on who will be partnered (though that is obviously not entirely true, certain people would never be benched).
 
The Sun now claiming that LOVERAT Kevin GHOSTED poor rubbish Louise after getting it on with Stacey, after 'never really clicking' ( :D ) with Susan Calman.
 
I’m not SURPRISED at Katya being sidestepped this year. I think it makes sense.

I don’t really understand where all the vitriol towards Kevin has come from. Is The Sun’s big exposé seriously that the Strictly professionals don’t stay BEST FRIENDS FOREVER with their dance partners?
 
I'm not surprised at Katya getting the boot, if true. But I will miss her choreography.
 
And yes, I don't understand who Kevin has pissed off, either. I don't understand the story full stop though - it makes Louise sound tragic, so I can't imagine she's pleased. It seems to be coming from wanting to stick the knife in him rather than anything else.
 
As soon as last year’s scandal blew up, I’m fairly sure she would have been expecting a year off, at the very least.

SCD will always puts its family friendly values first. It will want to be seen to be doing “the right thing”. Unlike Dancing On Ice, which went out of its way to try and cause Sylvain drama to generate a few headlines in the past.
 
I don’t think they should have got rid of Katya, although I can see why they did. She is definitely one of the most talented dancers, with imaginative choreography.

He is in a relationship with Stacey Dooley, who was apparently in a happy relationship before she was partnered with Kevin.
 
The Sun is clearly trying to insinuate he was sticking it in poor old sad old Louise.

But strangely NOT Susan Calman, who he never clicked with :o
 
I don’t understand how Kevin having off screen sexual relations with Stacey is any different to Katya and Seann’s relationship?
