Sean Connery DEAD

:(

He seemed to have a carer for the past few years of his life, so not sure if he had Alzheimer’s or similar.

Life highlight: Chest
Life lowlight: Bashing poor Lynsey de Paul around after a scrap about boiled Spam or whatever it was

He was a good age, I thought he was far younger. Sad times :(

He retired from acting after the compellingly dreadful 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' some 20 years ago.

Still looked good when I last saw him watching Wimbledon in the crowd and that was only a couple of years ago.

So Bond films on ITV even more frequently for a while?

I'd have guessed he was older than 70 then.

Did that happen after Roger Moore died? Although I seem to recall he died the day after the Manchester Arena bombing it got rather lost.

:(

They only just finished showing all the Bond films on Saturday nights in the summer.

But yeah, they'll probably repeat them again. ,

I was going to say... Not to CANCEL THE DEAD but he was a bit of a prick.

Any recent pictures I have seen he always had a carer with him. I think it was heavily rumoured he had Alzheimer’s/dementia but again, WHO KNOWS?

Fun fact: he turned down both the Ian McKellen role in Lord of the Rings and the Laurence Fishburne role in The Matrix, because he didn't understand the scripts for either.

When both went on to become massive hits, he vowed that the next time he read something that didn't make any sense to him, he'd take it.

That film was League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. :basil:

Edited after @octophone 's post

NO RIP FROM SUEDEY

Were there rumours a few years that he was a wife beater? Or am I confusing / slandering him? Sorry if that is the case.

Just stumbled across the Walters interview on twitter.

YIKES. :manson:

Having a preference in terms of how to beat your wife up suggests he was quite into it.

I would blame the past, but it wasn't the fucking rule. I'm led to to believe many men didn't beat up their wives. Can't speak personally.
