I watched a YouTube live perf of Statements today “Statements (amazing live performance)” - sidebar it was alright

At the start she was mumbling and noodling but somehow managed to form the words “I am an activist”. I thought you needed to be ACTIVE to do that

Last time she procrastinated till SUNDAY before the Tuesday announcement.

SVT had to call up an already confirmed John Lundvik and apologetically take away his spot :eyes:

I can understand why they dreaded the call though.

Lundvik was the singer of Begging when :disco: FOREGROUND DANCER :disco: Anton Ewald got his breakthrough. A year after he sent in a self written song, got selected by the jury and was initially set to be the performer.

However, SVT reserves right to choose the artists even for the jury selected songs. After changing their mind and snubbing him of his place as a frontman Lundvik was left with two uncomfortable choices for 2014. Either he could let SVT disqualify his song or he had to put up with Ewald claiming 'the song was written especially for him' while once again trying to cover up Ewald's singing capabilities. Luckily(?) for him Ewald got hybris and chose to sing a greater part himself this time around. That embarrassment temporarily killed of Ewald's chances at a greater music career and perhaps even got SVT to rethink earlier decisions...
