Norway 2021: TIX - Fallen Angel

My BF was watching this, and controversially the angle man's song isn't so bad when you aren't forced to look at him.
 
I’ve only just realised that the four finalists all came from heat 1! Wonder if that gave them an advantage or if someone at NRK really messed up the scheduling.
 
The quality really worsened as the heats went on.

I think Stina (the runner-up in heat 1) finished second in the Andra chansen thing.
 
Stina is #stillyoung so I'm confident she can come back with something absolutely smashing in a few years time. Elevate was good but not good enough to actually to eurovision.

:shock: Norway what have you done. Potential winner lose's out to a song/act that has no hope have qualifying in there semi. Prediction last place in the semi. I just can not believe this. :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
 
My Norwegian friend reckons TIX got a massive sympathy vote. Apparently he has Tourettes syndrome and wears shades all the time to hide his facial tics.

That and he's obviously very popular outside the Contest.
 
In all seriousness, Fallen Angel was number one in Norway *before* the final even started, and sympathy number ones are much harder to get in the age of streaming vs a time when all you had to do was just buy/download a single and that was IT (which is why number one charity singles are so much rarer nowadays). There probably is some element of a sympathy vote for TIX but it is also genuinely the most popular song in Norway at the moment, which doesn't tend to be a precursor for the sorts of songs that actually do finish last in their semi.

It's a pretty memorable performance too, and the track is nowhere near as heard it all before as ROKO - The Dream was. It all depends how the rest of the semi ends up looking but I really would say this feels much more likely to qualify than not unless the juries completely nuke it.
 
Ok so the true t is Fallen Angel is a strong song with memorable staging and KEiiNO's entry wasn't up to the standard they set for themselves.
 
Let's be honest, Norway sacrificed a song the entire continent was interested in, in favour of a song only Norway is interested in. Basically, they've catered exclusively to the only country in Europe that can't give them votes at Eurovision.

The UK to send Ladbaby and a sausage roll song in 2022 and bring the win back home, lads.
