Who’s going to miss out on a place in the top 4?

Dawn French is the guest judge tonight!

It’s ridiculous how wound up they still are about the running order!

Crown Bimini now. She is iconic. The scream of her standing next to Ellie. It's giving us very @Dark Carnival standing alongside any adult.

Will they ever critique Lawrence properly? No. Oh well.

Tayce is unbelievably stunning and charming. But shit at stand-up.

Awhora got her redemption arc, so I'm happy for her.

Ellie Diamond is a no from me. In the words of Violet Chachki "No. Something else. Give me something else."

I mean I predicted these SHENANIGANS last week. I thought Ellie was just as bad if not worse than A’Whora, and her runway was basic as fuck, but A’Whora has done really well considering how loathed she was, and 5th place queens generally do better than 4th AS A RULE, so I’m not too mad, but Ellie has no right being in that final.

As much as I’m annoyed Ellie Diamond is still there, I’m glad that it was one of the ones who made such a fuss about the running order who went.

I wish A’Whora would stop claiming to be Northern.

It was so uncomfortable to watch Ellie try to crawl back and salvage the stand up sequencing :goodgrief: though all parties were being fucking stupid cunts about it.

Why were they so OBSESSED with the running order?!? Frankly, Ellie gave herself the shittest position anyway - everyone knows second is the worst spot in EVERYTHING. Looks like Laurence is gonna continue banging on about it next week too...!

I really want Bimini to win now. Frankly it's a two-horse race and while I do LIKE Lawrence, he really can be insanely petty sometimes - Tayce and Bimini had the right idea re: the running order and just got the fuck on with it.

Overall I do actually think the stand up show was decent. Never an easy gig, even less so with an audience of four (though I thought the audience were very generously laughing!), but no-one was completely abysmal and Bimini was genuinely excellent.

That was IT?! I was expecting at least a C-Bomb in there. I guess in a way gaping assholes is worse :D - but... still... chill out BBC. I think people watching this show are going to cope with that joke.

It's getting to the point where just hearing Lawrence speak is getting on my nerves. And she was particularly annoying this week. She just didn't shut up about the order the whole episode did she?
But besides that, I really don't get why they showed everyone bored during her perf (and boring it was!) only for her to get raving critiques afterwards.
Get rid, I'm done with her.

Yeah that joke isn’t all that bad... but I guess if they bleep it they can make out she REALLY missed the mark as an excuse to send her home...

Also there was a BBC Scotland thing called Drag Queens of Glasgow which Lawrence was in, and her entire storyline on that was about her writing a stand-up comedy set and performing it for the first time... so I really was expecting her to be better than she was.

The bottom 2 was SUCH BULLSHIT :D Tayce was second best after Bimini! A'Whora wasn't even all THAT BAD.
I'd have had Lawrence and Ellie in the bottom, but production clearly wanted a Tayce/A'Whora bottom 2 as they are housemates - even though A'Whora/Ellie or Lawrence/Ellie would have been MUCH more satisfying from a storyline POV for the viewer. Ru CLEARLY just wants multiple Tayce lipsyncs before he DIES!

I loved Lawrence's runway, but did she deliver a single joke in her stand up? Where was that in her critique :D
I'm sort of coming round to Ellie in an ironic way, her stand up was an absolute HOT MESS WTF moment of Farrah Moan levels.
Tayce is quite similar to Alyssa in that she's just naturally hilarious. Almost everything she said in the whole episode had me laughing "HOUNDS!"

Anyway a fun episode! Sad to lose A'Whora who has become a fave of mine, but she'll be FINE, and an obvious future All Stars casting.

God, Lawrence came out of that episode AWFULLY!
Oh it was 100% her Alaska PayPal moment, but even WORSE given she thought her being about to go home was because of a friendship being severed chucking her under the bus too :D

It was worse than Alaska IMO. Alaska just had a tantrum at nobody in particular, I feel like Lawrence exposed a really toxic element of her 'friendship' with Ellie.

It's not great, but fundamentally at this stage of a competition like this I think the most toxic traits of any friendship would probably bubble at least once or twice at the surface in a constructed dog-eat-dog scenario (that the other friend decided not to give you a free pass on!) :D

I don't think Ellie or Lawrence came out of it TERRIBLY. Ellie's there, feeling insecure, and wants to do something to better her chance at winning a round she knows she's not likely to win, but it IS a dick move to throw other people under the bus. And Lawrence feels like her best friend on the show has thrown her under the bus - which you'd probably be mad about at that stage in a really high-pressure contest. Although I will say, I don't think Lawrence or Bimini were ever going to be particularly hard-done-by by being in the middle... Whereas getting Awhora to OPEN THE SHOW was SABOTAGE :D

They could all do with learning to be as ZEN as Queens Bimini and Tayce.

Imo the right person went this week - Ellie makes for a fun little gag finalist, and while the standup was objectively awful it did kind of go all the way round and become a psychedelic inspiration piece, which is neither necessarily appropriate to understand at the time, ten years from now, or indeed any time you actually experience it (as either the viewer or the performer) for your theoretical understanding of art, comedy, drag, and Ellie Diamond's upbringing and formative experiences to nonetheless be irrevocably broadened for the rest of your life. Literally just go for it until everyone is confused, and leave before they can all be totally certain it was not in any way funny - @Rachey is the drag gaia of this

The BBC totally actually bleeped this because it made it funnier :D (and the original joke itself is *actually* funnier too knowing what it is, and more could have been wrung out of it by really milking the bait and switch of 'oh he's going to say they're hung isn't he')

Anyway is it just me or was the editing ALL OVER the place tonight? I know that judging will always be a bit inconsistent and I don’t particularly mind the heavy-handed editing, as long as it’s actually telling a coherent story!

It was as if the challenge, the critiques and the lip sync were edited by three different people who didn’t speak to one another at any point.

For example, Tayce’s set wasn’t great, and wasn’t particularly made out to be, but then they praised it, and put her in the bottom two anyway?

Lawrence getting praised to high heaven for an “alright” challenge is nothing new, but if they wanted us to feel it was top drawer then why did they edit it to make it seem like he was bombing?!

I love Tayce too. Definitely my favourite, but she hasn’t had a “wow” moment really and I think she’s out of time now.

Also presumably now having had three lip syncs (the latter of which clearly engineered to give that Tayce v A’Whora moment) rules her out of the win anyway.

Lawrence has been getting weird treatment the last few weeks but I think it's longer term editing - given it's almost always actually been to make Lawrence's position each episode feel much less certain, I feel like they've been doing it to really pull themselves back from where they were c. when he had two (even when he'd just collectively won a third!) when he basically felt like the completely prohibitive favourite.

At this point Bimini now feels like the slight favourite, maybe by enough of an edge that depending on how things go in the meantime production have the leeway to potentially even cast Lawrence as a bit of an underdog.
