UK: The Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson years - problematic + infected + broke the law + electoral poison + sneks + not very good + OVER (funny)

When the UK said it wanted to be a third-country like Russia, Turkey and North Korea, we should have known they didn't just mean in trade terms, but also in terms of outrageous levels corruption

This was rather plain but powerful, I thought.

If an intelligent member of the cabinet has any dignity, they will resign today. Looking at you, Sunak.

This is some Berlusconi style shit and Johnson needs to go.

I was having a chinwag with a former Tory MP last night. Of course I asked if he thinks Boris should resign, to which his answer was absolutely yes. I do wonder if having his seat would have made him less brave though.

It all seemed a little too convenient this week when the Met decided to investigate - felt like a spanner being purposefully thrown into the works.

From an ordinarily very Tory-favourable pollster/focus grouper (he used to work in Number 10), on the day it was announced there was going to be a Met investigation to begin with:

I'm seeing quite a few generally Tory-positive accounts on Twitter criticising this decision. It's such a rank, flagrant attempt at a cover-up that there's really no way to defend it.

Can we replace The Nasty Party with The Corrupt Party

Labour please run a pre-election "They lie, and lie, and steal, and lie" campaign. We (and not just the gays this time) will have no choice but to stan.

It's no wonder Scotland wants to go independent! I wouldn't blame them!

No-one is swallowing their bullshit any more. "Scotland costs the union a fortune" say the most venal, avaricious government ever. If that was true, we'd be getting the boot. But as long as the "right" noses are in the trough, it'll be just rhetoric and flagshagging.

I love a bit of HOT FRIDAY CORRUPTION.

I had a feeling the Met Police getting involved at that exact point yesterday was the result of a backdoor deal to delay and legally redact it. Today we have the proof. Fuck him in the face. Fuck them all. Honestly bring back the IRA and wipe these self serving cunts off the face of the earth.

The whole narrative is very Putin-esque.

Confuse the shit out of the population and they'll submit without realising.

But then they'll make redactions and try to gaslight us (deny us) when we say it's because of the Met collusion.

I was at my Mum’s this morning and her carer was there and her reaction was “well, did you see the papers, Kier Starmer did it too! Let Boris get on with running the country”.

I’ve made it my mission to sack her.

Precisely my point.

As The New York Times article that Jarkette posted a while back said about us, we are a nation sleepwalking towards autocracy.

And also the United Kingdom as we know it is over. Once Boris goes, Scotland is gone too.

Welcome to Little England everyone.

It's people's lives, though, some might say - it's not a game! But they don't see it that way because they never have. It's always been a 'game' to them.

You would have thought that the pandemic and BLM might have taught the world a thing or two, but clearly not. If anything, the world appears more divisive and separatist than ever. What's happening with 'partygate' is merely a microsymptom of that.

I fully intend on doing my masters somewhere in Europe, I‘m half expecting to just STAY there tbh.
