Maybe they can combine it with one of those "can you follow which cup the ball is under" games they show on big screens at sports events to add a bit more excitement.

They're once again going on about expanding it internationally, but none of these (other than the ill-fated American Song Contest) ever seem to happen. The latest is that Chile is supposedly hosting the first Latin American contest in October, but I'll believe it when I see it.
