Eurovision Rewatch: Brighton 1974

Did this band go on to have any success after the contest? They seem vaguely familiar to me.

If this singer is going to back at the camera and wave then I'm just going to have to hope that she falls in a hole.

Ireen next did a much better song for Germany in 1978

I'm enjoying the music with the postcards and its occasionally tenuous relevance to the performing country.

I wasn't expecting much from this but I'm finding it much more enjoyable than the 90s ones I've sat through.

Mostly for the hideous fashion admittedly.

As far as ballads performed by men in sparkly jackets go, Monaco was quite good.

No wonder everyone was in hotpants in the late seventies. There must have been a global fabric shortage caused by Eurovision backing singers.

They have to have big collars to make their hairstyles look like they're the correct size.

Mouth & Macneal sounds like a sexploitation flick.

Did Monaco ever have any good entries apart from ‘Une banque, un arbre, un roux’? Well apart from ‘La coco-dance’ OBVIOUSLY

@Madison :tongueout:

Mouth & MacNeal. Surprisingly, Mouth is the bloke.

This is her who did rather well in our 1980 rewatch with Amsterdam
