I know they were a monster but I’m really rather sad to have to wave goodbye - in fact I’ve had quite the sob - and the world is inevitably less interesting without them. Also it looks like the leukaemia wasn’t a money-spinning yarn after all :(

Very much of the view that what Throbbing Gristle begat was better than TG themselves - gimmie Coil, a Chris Carter solo or a Chris & Cosey album any day over TG (I haven't heard "TUTTI" yet, to my regret - must fix that).

Impossible, however, to deny that s/he was one of the most influential figures in the underground culture of the 70's and into the 80's. From doing half-naked performance art in the streets of Hull to shouting about Myra Hindley at an English public school, anyone who could raise the hackles of dead Tory cunt Nicholas Fairbairn to the point of TG being described as "wreckers of civilization" can't be crossed off.
