Looking forward to this though I did recently play the last two Gossip albums and didn’t enjoy them as much as I remembered. Maybe I wasn’t in the mood.

I was a little surprised (but not disappointed) to see that Heavy Cross has getting on for three times as many streams as Standing In the Way of Control.

Love the disco feel. Lots of flashing in the video though.

Real Power is right up there with their best. What a comeback.
Crazy Again is alright, a bit forgettable. It has a whiff of 2007 Indie pop about it (in a good way).

I think I slightly prefer Crazy Again but Real Power strikes me as more of a first single.

Not quite as good as the previous two songs maybe, but still a bit of a stomper with a very soulful vocal from Beth:

Great album. Give It Up For Love is the big disco stomp and Edge Of The Sun is sweet sounding pop. Beth sounds especially gorgeous on the quieter songs that dominate the second half not least the closing Peace and Quiet.

First listen was very positive, especially as I’d only heard ‘Real Power’ beforehand and whilst it’s fine I wasn’t overly enamoured with it.
