I didn't get this far before earlier. The Kill sounds like it needs its own TIMEZONE!

Mirage Don't Stop is a grower too, the chorus is infectious

7 supposedly distinct compositions in and I'm ready to declare: it's not something I would actively listen to but I'd be more than happy to HAVE IT ON in another room while I take a bath or rearrange my filing system

I'm happy it's making many of you so happy. Love that for you. I'll be off now.

I do enjoy how The Kill lives up to its title by being noticeably darker than the rest of the album. When the brass comes in near the end it's a WHOLE fucking mood. This is the definition of a slow burn. The adlibs!

The start of Remember Where You Are I was expecting her to launch into "I had a dream last night... and you were there".

I kind of wish she left it after The Kill, Remember Where You Are is a bit too MOR for this album

Remember Where You Are gives me chills. It's so warm and romantic, it's kinda like a song you'd remember hearing on some late night show on Kiss FM circa 97 after an agony aunt segment on letting go of an ex, finding perspective and becoming your best self. Only you never got to know what it was because Shazam didn't exist then.

UTTERLY timeless - could be 70s, 90s or 20s and you wouldn't blink. A fucking triumph of a closer, and from what she's said it will be the blueprint for the next album.

It feels a bit of a shift but I think it works as a closer. Those backing vocals remind me of something in particular I can't quite place.
