Jonnie Irwin: TV presenter dies aged 50

Irwin was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020. He went public with his illness at the end of 2022, when he revealed the cancer had spread to his brain.

This is really sad. He was one of my favourites on A Place In The Sun; when his house hunters turned down a three-bed townhouse with roof terrace and communal pool in Torrevieja because the bedrooms were too small (despite them only having a budget of £21,000), he could still manage to be cordial and positive, unlike wicked and evil old Ben.
