Every country singer in the past 50 years who took on a sassy/bad girl persona owes a huge debt to Loretta
Truly a groundbreaking artist, I got to know her through my grandparents and eventually listened to everything of hers I could find - there’s more miss than hit in her discography but that’s common for country singers who were churning out several albums a year in the 60s and 70s
