Wonder how he'll fare in a world and social media environment that's a lot more WOKE than a decade ago...
The non-identical twins have already cracked me up.
I'm not sure I'm here for this. But we'll see.
I think it'll get a similar reception to the airport-based show that Little Britain did.
I actually watched that the other day while I was in labour (you're supposed to do something that makes you laugh) and was thinking how you'd never get away with some of the jokes anymore.
I've watched them all because I've been at my parents and bored, I did keep watching, but not really sure why, it was very rarely funny, is it meant to be funny? Didn't really hit the tragi-comedy note as none of the characters had enough depth or realism. The stuff with the lord was of Gayhurst was unwatchable, and some story lines felt bizarre/unnecessary like the trans dog, it wasn't really commenting or satirizing anything, it just sort of sat on the fence, and felt a bit pointless.
It was all a bit lazy considering the budget and creative freedom Netflix must've afforded him.
After FINALLY watching Ja'mie last month and LOVING it, I watched the first episode earlier this evening. I lasted 15 minutes. The worst TV show I have seen in YEARS. Not even so-bad it's good, embarrassingly AWFUL, and uncomfortable. It's been a complete and utter disaster for Chris Lilley, and rightly so. What a way to fuck up your career. WHO signed this show off? It's not funny in the slightest and why does he INSIST on playing 13-year old children?
I'm sure he didn't.I presume you’ve never seen Angry Boys.
Btw, that Jamie series is supposed to be funny, but I found it disturbing.
I presume you’ve never seen Angry Boys.
