Forgive me for -ing out here, but Spotify turns ten years old this week, so I thought I'd look up how various Eurovision winners have fared on the format. Obviously it's an imperfect formula - some were added much more recently than others, and there's a big advantage to Nordic entries, where Spotify took off much more quickly than elsewhere - and probably an equivalent disadvantage to the Eastern European winners - but interesting nonetheless.

Well it's hardly the rule when even entries from the 1950s have six-figure listen totals.

It's very possible it was only added to Spotify recently. Or that it's just one of the least remembered and least commercial winners ever. Ireland has seven to choose from, whereas forgettable winners from, say, Latvia or Croatia are still going to get wheeled out on occasion.

Interesting that Michael Schulte passed Netta between October and now - he picked up an additional 5 million streams in the last 8 weeks, whereas Netta only gained around 1.5 million.
