Pet Shop Boys - Nonetheless (new album)

What's in the water at the PSB household lately? I feel like they're having one of the best runs of their career.

"Beauty Has Laid Siege..." is gorgeous

They seem to be pushing All the Young Dudes more than New London Boy too, with the (cheap) video and it has been playlisted on Radio 2. I guess they are trying to flog the new version of the album but not sure this is the way.

There have been plenty of treats in the b-sides this era. They've certainly been prolific.

Performing All The Young Dudes and West End Girls at the MTV Europe Music Awards. A sentence I wouldn't expect to be typing in 2024.

The visual was very impressive but the phrasing of All the Young Dudes just doesn't suit Neil at all.

That looked pretty spectacular and Neil seemed to be having a ball! All The Young Dudes didn't seem as terrible in context, but I can't see myself ever popping it on for a listen.

All The Young Dudes actually charting on the midweeks (albeit at #87)... with the Christmas songs still climbing rapidly it will probably sadly drop out by Friday but still - that must be their best singles performance in quite a while?

Dark end of the street has been given a milder Always On My Mind treatment with some lovely orchestral bits and a glorious extended outro. The vocal feels a little buried and a bit of a struggle in spots but this is a much better fit than All the young dudes.

I like Adrenaline but I see why it didn't make the cut for the main album.

All combined 54 new tracks, edits, mixes and demos. Not bad for a single album :D

Yes they've rather flooded us with tracks this year. The quantity of material is much higher than the three independent albums, I guess Parlophone may have encouraged all this.

Presumably 2025 will be a quiet year but perhaps there will be some back catalogue cultivation.

The Nonetheless instrumentals have LEAKED for those of us who appreciate a BREAK from KERMIT
