has anyone else noticed that the instrumental Queen of the 80s (and early 90s), the saxaphone, has made a bit of a comeback lately... Sam Fender embraced his Bruce Springsteen obsession on his album and now there’s a lot of dance pop songs emerging.

it was quite dated and cheesy for a LONG WHILE (maybe still is)

but there’s been big highlights.

I’ll start

Surely Lady Gaga brought the sax back.

That or Mr Saxobeat.

Anyway I watched that Tina Turner interview last night and there was an excellent sax break in one of her sings. I think it was The Best.

she had a few for sure.

I would say Guru Josh for a bit of dance nostalgia but it was a BIT SHIT really wasn’t it.

It's quite cute that funky spells it "saxaphone"

Album track but love the energy the sax adds to this Poly Styrene pop-ska track, ‘Kitsch’.

Screaming at those of you who can’t tell the difference between a saxophone and a trumpet/harmonica

The daily thread with ADDED SAXOPHONE

and this is the EXTENDED SAX BRIDGE
