It’s always good having a theme song to a dream here. Weirdly I sometimes hear Dancing as background music to tv shows here. Never see anything else though

Or it was never planned to be released (since it was released anywhere else), but the Japanese version was big enough a hit on the back of the drama to justify a Kylie release to try and push her in Japan?
 
I always thought it was a number 1 there for like seven weeks, at least that’s what Kylie’s publicity team made us think but according to Wikipedia, it only got to 34. :confused:
 
Is UKMIX dead?

They have separate regular and western charts, I think that distinction is often accidentally missed on purpose for a press release. It’s quite rare for western artists to have hits competing with Japanese (or Korean) hits. Except Carly Rae for some reason.

Wikipedia only mentions Japanese sales for 4 singles at all, The Locomotion, Turn it into love, Hand on your heart and I should be so lucky. TIIL has the highest sales of them

If the Wink version of TIIL came out in 1989 then @Diddy is wrong and Kylie's version was released first in Japan.
 
So played the CD today- wish she’d used the video versions of Your Disco Needs You (minor point) but mostly The One- I still don’t have that Freemasons mix on CD and this was the place to do it.

Also, is Stop Me From Falling a slightly different mix?

Never Too Late is just perfect. That, and WDIHTD I was gutted she missed out of the Glasto set, but I know that to please everyone, the setlist had to be very streamlined
 
I do get the impression she thinks WDIHTD is the lesser of the four Rhythm Of Love singles, given the dust she has paid it in the past. Shocking really.

She has said in the past that she is surprised how loved by the fans What Do I Have To Do is. Her official store have done a t-shirt with the single cover, so they're shrewd. Of course I bought it...

Step Back In Time (the song) has had a collection of remixes from Mousse T released this morning on Spotify

 
Not sure if this spotify playlist is new or not. Small number of followers, so I assume so...

 
Her enthusiasm almost makes me want to buy this record which I’ve no need for. It would be great if she got cracking on with a new album to capitalise on Golden, Glastonbury and hopefully this album sticking around for a few months. But of course at this stage of her career she’s entitled to do whatever she wants.

A new album next Summer would be good - I think she may have a 'Confessions..' stage album left in her. Or is she completely heritage now?
 
Would love her to drop some more remixes of old tracks.

Step Back in Time mixes really are a bit anaemic, but nice to have regardless.

Soundtrack to my morning. It has been an age since I experienced the glory of the Chemical Brothers Remix of Slow. Take it down, down, down, down, down...

So do we think these mixes are the 'new' version of Step Back In Time that were rumoured? The Classic Disco Shizzle is the better reworking, only partly due to the name. I do understand the 'empty' description when compared to the original though.
 
I'm hopeful that she may overtake the presumably quite frontloaded Lighthouse Family (I mean, who in their right mind?) and sneak #2. And definitely not get overtaken by the Killers.
