I've just read that Richard Tice statement. That's some murky shit right there.

Can't wait to see if the Tories are fucking stupid enough to wheel out the "magic money tree" line again after all the money they've SPUNKED on Brexit related shite.

You’d think he’d be a much better orator given his Eton education. He really is FALLING TO BITS under pressure, it seems he’s struggling with the disconnect between his self belief in his competency, and the reality that he’s actually fucking useless.

NOT THAT IT WILL MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE!

They are absolute rank amateurs, what happens when the entitled meet anyone who questions their entitlement. This has to be a catalyst for change in our system, time to get rid of career politicians, shaped at Eton and Oxbridge who have their eye on nothing more that power for the sake of power followed by a lucrative directorship or three.

Well Labour have been creeping in the polls, although the Tories haven't gone down yet. More shit like this please.

“UNACHIEVABLE!”
“PIE IN THE SKY!!!!”
“DIANE ABBOTT CALCULATIONS!!!!!!”

Or just actually taxing companies and the über rich properly and using the money on things society needs.

T
It is very simple to achieve and helps the very poorest people in society. No wonder you're struggling with it babes.

Unfortunately I'm not as naive as some of the members here who think we can simply tax the rich to give to the poor. Increasing taxes will drive away investors. The burden of free broadband would end up being carried by people on medium incomes.

You think Amazon are going to pack up shop and move away because they suddenly have to start paying a bit of tax?

What's driving investment away from Britain is the absolute incompetence of the Tory government has shown over Brexit - the world has rightly spotted that the UK is presently run by idiots who are making their own country deeply unattractive by belly-flopping out of the EU.
A generation is now through and of voting age who have twigged that this constant sopping to the rich has created a tiny number of extremely rich people at the expense of the rest of us and can't be fooled into an argument that is, essentially (as Ron points out) "we'll cut off our own source of income". I mean, can you believe that the Tories and Labour both backed down to Philip Green when he said he'd close his stores? Look what happened there. He asset stripped BHS and then fucked off because "the rules" no longer applied to him. And now Arcadia are in trouble anyway. Lessons need to be learned.

Do we even need to raise any taxes? We seem to be doing alright with dosh for the DUP, bailing out banks, renovating Westminster, funding Trident, the HS2, not to mention the billions already spaffed up the wall on Brexit.

Nobody ever wants those things costed though.

And for the fucking record the Tories were supposed to be spending $5bn on broadband - if you're going to spend it you may as well own it.

Oh the irony of you claiming not to be naive while clearly buying into trickle-down economics. Keep waiting for them measly drops :D!

It took me a few seconds to get it. I thought Gove was just being a cunt as usual.

This election is stressful. Between people thinking taxing the rich is an IMPOSSIBILITY, the BBC calling nationalised public services 'communism' and morons whining about McDonalds workers trying to get paid enough to live on, it's really apparent just how much neoliberalism has made us a nation of BOOTLICKERS.

I used to think the main problem was that people were thick. But it's actually how stubborn they are that's the problem. No-one can ever admit they were wrong or change their mind - you have to stick doggedly to your "opinion", even when it is closing your shops, emptying your cupboards, delaying your operation and literally killing people in your own fucking town.

The 2017 GE we had a run of terror attacks and disasters. And yet this still seems somehow more unpleasant.

This really is the most bullshit GE of all time.

Tories say 20,000 more police
Labour say free broadband
Lib Dems say they'll plant 60m trees

What next?

Tories say they'll build a town in space
Labour say free Amazon prime for everyone
Lib Dems say all roads to be replaced with roller-coasters

They're just saying fucking anything.

Well seeing as it's turned out after all these years that you can just say ANY OLD SHIT and GET AWAY WITH IT then WHY NOT

I suspect he'll keep his council seat for a good few years so long as he wants it. He's taught at the Sixth Form for at least 25 years and is known by many, probably 1000s. His ward is the town centre so it's quite a younthful ward.

Enjoying Boris' announcement that not cutting corporation tax will free up £6bn.

But hang on, they were arguing that decreased corporation tax increases tax returns at the last election. So which is it?
