UK Charts/ Midweeks 2020

Not sure how noteworthy it is, but Stormzy has been #1 now for three weeks, without being #1 on sales or streaming for any of those weeks.

...and Tones & I would have been back at #1 for the last two weeks if it wasn't for the ACR.

Given that you only appear to need to sell about 45 copies to get into the chart, I’d imagine so. Personally I’ve bought it on all formats and have set up 20 iTunes accounts with fake email addresses so I can buy it 20 TIMES and I do hope YOU’RE all doing your bit to HELP SALES

:enya:

I fear we may NEVER SEE HALLI AGAIN if it isn't the huge smash it deserves to be :(

I streamed one track for 10 seconds, I hope it helps :)

Accelerated Chart Ratio :)

I googled it so you don’t have to. Fuck a duck I’m such a giver :disco:

Somehow or other Break My Stride by Matthew Wilder is a re-entry at #100. Wuh?

Less than 100 "copies" between the top 2 singles this week, that has to be quite unusual (yeah, I know, Deee-Lite).

How is James Blunt top 3 on itunes in 2020?

And where has that old Sara Bareilles track come from, seemingly out of nowhere? I'm guessing Love Island related.

She was on Graham Norton last night.

I’ve just watched Sara’s performance. She really was brilliant.

It's an old song though, isn't it? Any particular reason for it being repromoted now?

She is performing in Waitress at the West End for the first time.

I see André Rieu's Ode To Joy and something called 17 Million Fuck Offs by Dominic Frisby are at #1 and #2 on iTunes in a bid to be #1 on Friday.

Thank God for streaming.

I'd be more interested in 17 Million Frisbies by Fuck Off Dominic (Cummings).

I wasn't expecting Kesha to flop like this with her new album, but it's now at #39 in the midweeks after sinking like a stone during the week. Oh well.

*FLUSH*

In the event "Ode To Joy" made no 30 and Frisby 43. They were number 2 and 3 on sales.

I see 'Someone You Loved' back up to #6. All that chart tinkering to clear out the old tracks continuing to work well, then.

Vera Lynn and Katherine Jenkins are currently #2 on UK iTunes. If they chart I presume Vera will break records by quite some gap as the oldest living artist to chart. I also presume this would be Jenkins first hit single.

Didn't her cover of 'Bring Me To Life' chart?

She's actually had three top 100 hits. Green Green Grass, Time To Say Goodbye and Bring Me To Life.

The almighty mix of the latter is SENSATIONAL.

Perhaps Almighty could have a bash at Dame Vera

Given that Matt Lucas only got to 34 with the much-vaunted "Thank You Baked Potato", I doubt this will do so much beyond the few teary-eyed gammons who've already drunk bought it.

A 99 year old is currently no.1. I believe it's his 100th birthday this week too.

Aside from Michael Ball, Captain Tom is also #1.

Must be all that carousing and sexy anal with Cathy McGowan :(

Michael Ball becomes the 8th oldest person to top the charts.
