Question: I'm watching New York. I'll finally watch Scary Island after work today :disco:. I've heard seasons 4-6 are kind of bad. Should I skip them or just watch anyway? Is it worth it?
 
I've yet to watch them and don't feel like i'm missing out, you could always go back to them, or maybe someone could just tell you the ESSENTIAL EPISODES so you can speed through it.

I'm a completist so watched them all. They aren't necessary but there are some highlights. If anything, at least watch the trips - S4 Morocco, S5 St Barts.

Deffo watch the season 4 Morocco trip, it's one of the best ever!

The season 5 trip is also brilliant, and really the start of CRAZY AVIVA. I'd also maybe watch the two GHOSTWRITER DRAMA episodes at the start of season 6, and the final episode of season 6 with the PROSTHETIC LEG TOSS is peak Housewives insanity, and a MUST WATCH!

You can watch it in isolation without really needing much background tbh.
 
Oh and the last episode of season 5 features the LEGENDARY Ramona vs Aviva pot of tea TAKE DOWN, and is probably the only time you see the SINGER STINGER properly rattled on the show :D Worth finding that scene in isolation as it's annoyingly not on youtube.

I was really into the last part of SLC this week :D It was like a Drag Race challenge of Housewives crossed with season 2 New Jersey :D
Jen may be inauthentic, but she's necessary to the cast - and will hopefully tone down her grating try-hard qualities for season 2.

Whitney is such a shit-stirring little bitch :D Meredith is, of course, disengaging right now :D

I really hope blondes vs brunettes carries on with the two crazies stuck in the middle :disco:
 
I also found it QUITE distasteful that Mary flaunted her multiple houses and hideous, jam-packed wardrobe this week on account of it was all purchased via CONNING her congregation :D

Maybe she thinks her church won't watch the show :D
 
Apparently the reunion yesterday was one of the longer first season reunions ever.

Season 4 is a mess, but an essential one. I think I've watched it three times. :(

I'm currently on my first rewatch of season 5 since it aired, and it's far better than I remember. HOLLA taking on Ramona, and winning - sending Ramona into a downward spiral of losing battles that is so fun to watch. HOLLA putting a team together to help Sonja with her toaster oven - for free - and being met with total contempt from Lady Morgan. And then the trip to St Barts - which is just wild, with every cast member pulling their weight. Even Carole ends up leaving a dinner in tears, which I'd forgotten about.

That shrug that she's never counted, when asked how many homes she owns, was reality TV pandering that even Jen Shah would deem too try-hard.

They've probably all been told by Mary and her Grandpa that the Lord forbids them to watch it. And if they do slip up and sneak in an episode, they'll need to cough up a hefty donation as penance.

I've decided to watch it all

I watched Scary Island for the first time last night. I've seen a lot of hype about it but it lived up to it. I know GO TO SLEEP is the iconic quote from it but all of Kelly's random references to 1979 and the cook/chef thing were the peak for me. Also everyone's reactions when they saw Jill :D

See I'm tempted to get into NY now that I'm nearing the end of Vancouver but it seems like a LOT to take on.

Mind, I'm two weeks quarantined in a hotel at the start of March so maybe bite that one off then?

I'll admit it's a bit of a stretch to put yourself into these shoes, but imagine being a 13-year-old girl and having RAMONA as your mother. :D

Right girls, what shall I do after Vancouver? Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney all done and New Jersey a bit. Is there another (other than BH/NY) that hooks you in?
