RPDR UK S2 E6 - SNATCH GAME!

Is Sister Sister to cwej what Kandy Muse is to me? :D Yes she's a floater but I think she was pretty clearly safe this week. It was a very cut and dried top and bottom, with the exception of their weird harshness towards A'Whora who I thought did a great job. Maybe they were worried it'd get complaints from real people with lisps, but that IS how he sounds!

I thought Tayce was great too though! Yes, she was just quoting Kath's greatest hits, but she was really relaxed and effortless with it, and that runway was AMAZING!

Bimini absolutely nailing Katie Price's weirdly glassy joylessness was perfection. An all-time great Snatch Game performance. Poor Tia had clearly run out of road, and she knew it. But she went out with grace.
 
I only really know Gemma from the memes, I hadn't expected her to be so low energy - was this typical behaviour for her?
 
Tayve wasn't extraordinary but it was effortless and relaxed and she didn't cause me anxiety by just being on screen like all the others bar Bimini.

No it was really off, I've never seen her phone something in to that extent.
 
I've never seen Gemma Collins ever, and I thought she was still charming. Although, she was very obviously overdoing the sex humor to try and 'fit in'
 
I’ve only ever really liked a handful of Snatch Game performances, and Bimini’s is up there with the very best. Just brilliant.

Everyone else was painful to one degree or another.

Quite possible. I have never ever seen her do ONE thing in a task or on the runway that has made me think positively of her and her talking heads are literally vile. Especially her new face.

I doubt it seeing as the winner literally exaggerated a speech impediment on their chosen celebrity too!!
 
Yeah most celebs are usually SUPER EXCITED to be on the show, so it's odd to see someone treating it like just a job.
 
I feel a bit for Sister Sister TBH. I don't think she's an unpleasant person - she showed great empathy towards Ginny in the early weeks, for example. I think she's just extremely dry and quite snarky, in a way that doesn't read well on TV.

That's absolutely no excuse for the fact that she's STILL HERE, mind you. :D

She's not dry. She's a self-hating, passive aggressive little witch who takes all her self-hatred out on other people to make herself feel better about herself. I hope VV doesn't read this.

I feel bad because it's all we're really seeing of her. She gets 30 seconds of airtime each episode and it's usually just her bluntly calling someone else shit :D
 
I just assumed Gemma was like that because she was given a script? I don't know if that's how snatch game usually works but it certainly felt like that with Gemma
 
Well I laughed! 95% of that was due to Bimini though, I wish even MORE that she had got the deserved solo win last week, putting her and Lawrence on level pegging. She's just got another level of confidence over the others, so confident that she can just relax and enjoy the challenges rather than constantly having to assert how good/fierce/important they are. She hasn't cried yet though, has she? I guess that's demanded for a Drag Race winner because tears = an Emmy vulnerability.

WTF has happened to Baga recently? The dead-eyed Frock Destroyers video recently, and I don't know WHAT that Thatcher was. "I'm dribbling" was the other 5% that made me laugh though :D
 
1) Bimini - I'm stanning now, I've loved them since about Ep2, but they're on a golden streak now. Love that they didn't need bones or leopard print for the runway and looked amazing. Pwicey was phenomenal, my favourite UK Snatch game perf so far.

2) Tayce - I could do with a less of the American fierceness, because she's charismatic normally. The runways have been solid, and she's hot. I enjoyed her Snatch, even though I've never seen Kath & Kim

3) Lawrence - Yeah, it feels a bit default at the moment, maybe I'm going off her a bit. It was all a bit "the struggles of Chaney Pt 6". I think at this point I need to see more of her being great, rather than worrying about whether she's going to be great. Vulnerability is fine but there are even limits to that.

4) Ellie - I guess the wheels are going to fall off at some point, she has skills but maybe a bit too naive to go all the way. The cavewoman was a bit of a basic idea but she carried it off alright. Snatch Game was decent too.

5) A'whora - The looks are good, especially this week. But I don't get the likability everyone else is. I think she is sweet but she's still playing a fairly unconvincing bitch character now. I think she'd be a lot better just being herself.

6) Tia - Moopy really wanted someone to stan this season, didn't they? I never saw it with Tia, nice as she is. "I'm showing off my body this week" with a silhouette of a fucking KITE! :D if Ellie can be homeless and working in Burger King and come up with decent outfits, what's Tia's excuse? I did feel bad that she was railroaded into changing character, and Ru didn't mention that at all when it went tits up :D

7) Sister Sister - Moopy's been pretty awful about her :D I did shriek a little when Ellie and Sister were the only two safe "OMG what is Moopy going to say". I didn't actually know her Snatch character, but it's from a long lineage of Snatch Game failed psychics. Has that EVER worked? :D The runway was quite good I thought, I liked the skeleton cat a lot. Surely it's only a matter of time, but this week was safely safe.
 
Well. What can I say. I have stanned Bimini since Ep 1. And now we all have no choice. That was a Snatch Game performance for the ages. There were so many iconic lines.

"My implants were held at gun-point in Sowf Africa."

And her runway was AMAZING. As usual, anything beyond the obvious goes over Ru and Michelle's heads.

Was glad to see Lawrence bomb. The notion that he's "funny irl" is a little... questionable. His sense of humour is the drag equivalent of Dad jokes. There should be a horn and laughter track after every gag. And don't get me started on that disgusting runway. Cheap material, basic scratches, and unpleasant proportions. Sorry... no... next.

Tia was iconic until the end. "Are you sure?" She's adorable.

Poor Lawrence and everyone here actively wanting her to miss the top 3!

I'd still be happy if she wins. I suspect she'll pull it back in a few challenges and justify it anyway. However if Bimini continues to slay and improve like she is, I'd have no choice but to switch. But both I think have cemented a top 3 spot, probably with Tayce.

Yeah as much as I'm glad now Bimini stayed (and I thought she lost the lip sync, too), it was a misjudged bottom 2 full stop. It's hard to imagine Joe wouldn't have elevated the Snatch Game as well. This might have been fun, at least it wasn't Glenn Close:

 
Although saying that it probably would have ended up Joe being Joe in the same way Tia was!
 
I don't know why people are saying Sister Sister was that bad in Snatch Game - Ellie Diamond's Vicky Pollard being safe was the actual CRIME here!
 
It wasn't even Vicky Pollard. It was the "only gay in the village", no? The only similarity is that both Ellie and Matt Lucas have an enormous face.
 
I never seem to be in sync with the rest of you because I thought this was a very good Snatch Game and only Tia really did badly. It should’ve been so easy to do Mel B.

Really pleased for Bimini and A’Whora doing so well. Didn’t get the weird judging at all because I thought AWhora was the clear runner up...


and Bimini’s runway look was stunning! How could they not see what it was?
 
I really love all the top 4 girls that remain, and I’m balls full (or full balls) into A’Whora whom I really getting into (for being the dirty trade of the season, as long as she doesn’t do that ugly lispy crying)
 
The problem with Tia's Mel B is that it was a bad impression of Bo Selecta Mel. It was not a respectful rendering of POC gay icon Mel. There were so many jokes about Geri and Victoria left unmade. Mel never misses an opportunity to get band back together, even if it's just by shitting on the other girls.
