I championed Solovey and then I championed the original Shum, so the fact that it's all ended up at this. I'm just so gutted. :(

Ukraine have never not qualified right? Well. Hopefully that stays the same. But I'm not hopeful. I'm sad.
 
I think Australia could lose their 100% record too, perhaps more so than Ukraine.

Well obviously I can HEAR it but all the other key vote-grabbing elements are there: speeding up backing track, screamy thing at the end and of course R. Queen herself :disco:

Pretend Mk. 1 didn’t exist and play Mk. 2 over and over again is my TOP TIP

I had to listen to the original to remember how it went, it’s definitely DARKER, and I feel the new more FUN melody works a lot better in the Eurovision context.
 
I mean, it's still a very similar song but I think "rewrite + get it to 3 minutes" forced them distill the original properly, rather than just "shorten it by a minute".

Anyways, imagine this in a FULL arena - especially the part where it gets 2% faster. :disco:
 
The rewrite is SO much better for live performance - it's PROVOCATIVE! It GETS THE PEOPLE GOING :disco:
 
I’ve warmed to the new version of this now. At first it was like when a soap character comes back with a different actor and you’re supposed to pretend everything’s the same but you just know it’s not and you’re like this version of Nick Tilsley doesn’t even have the same accent and he’s at least a decade older why wasn’t Adam Rickitt invited back he wasn’t that fucking bad and it’s not like he’s got a pop career to focus on but then they knock around for a while and eventually you start to accept them and cast photos with the old actors start to look weird.
I forget where I was going with this but the main thing is I didn’t like the new Michelle on Eastenders.

It was a shame because she was a well regarded star of the stage. Now would you even know they swapped Martin Fowler's? Now that's a good swap. Did you know that every time Ben Mitchell ages a year they now speed up the swaps x2?
