Some mixed reviews for the Plymouth Pumpkin though despite the funky decor :evil:

Just been served by a woman who has major issues with customer service. I was given a single use plastic knife and as I was eating in (not that I was asked) I asked if I could have a metal knife. She begrudgingly gave me one which was dirty after seeing me clean it she offered to clean it?! Then when she tried to give me the plastic knife again I said I didn't need it as that's why I asked for the metal one and she proceeded to bash me for having a lid on my hot chocolate which she gave me without choice! Unbelievably bad customer service. Avoid at all costs!


I am appalled at the sizing of my sausage. I received half a sausage in my morning bap and it was very dry and I was only given one pack of ketchup - Wasn’t even Heinz . The bread, is tough and seems to be stale. It’s worth bringing your sausage bap from home. Disgusted. Would give 0 Stars if possible

Staff charged £1.00 for tap water. Very abusive mistreatment of customers, they are very rude and speak to customers like dogs. I bought coffee there before, the milk had gone off, it tasted like vinegar, with lumpy bits of old milk. I complained and the worker said they cannot help me and to add more sugar to the coffee. (:D) NEVER AGAIN

Check you bill before you pay! Their prices are already high enough without the staff scanning products from under the till to increase the price! Keep your eyes open with these crooks. They will have a go at you when you complain that you've spotted their theft

I used to work that shop for 7 years b4 I left in 2018. The last manager made the place a mess, from selling out of date food, ordering and stocking low quality coffee, cheating the required amount of coffee, syrups and other products for each order and so on.There were so many customers I knew for many years I felt so ashamed when I was forced to sell to them 2-7days (!) old pastries. I was really so stressed and It was the main reason I left. :(

Absolutely disgusting service! Rude lump of a lady with the most repulsive attitude. I received Less than half a cup of coffee, no care or effort was put into this cats urination of a drink. She needs to be sacked, Saturday 2nd February 2019 at 9.30am. Absolute disgrace of a team there, no manners or politeness whatsoever.
 
On a (deeply) personal note, I still haven't managed to make the pilgrimage to Edinburgh Waverley to get the vital scoop on how they do things Pumpkin style north of the border, but it WILL be happening soon. Probably not this weekend, considering :eyes:

Oh my goodness me, avoid the pumpkin cafe. The lady on the counter was so rude to me, i was confused i asked for a regular coffee she was so rude too me she spoke to me like i was stupid. Very manipulating towards me. As if i havnt got enough to deal with. She was very rude, NOT good enough of a lady to be serving customers. She made me feel like rubbish i hope this matter gets resolved.

Black coffee is served far to hot. Worse still with lids that do not fit properly. The lids just randomly poped off when I was holding the cup (holding it near the base). Went back, he was closing at 3pm (early?). I asked the employee to make it safe; they didn't seem to understand why I needed help (I have very mild burns on each hand and am asking them to make it safe). See pics tried to catch the red marks but failed. They offered me a new lid, had to ask for a 2nd cup & cold water. In the coffee to cool it down a little. The new lid popped as soon as I got on the train. Didn't burn myself this time thankfully. The lid just doesn't fit properly, it's ridiculous. Included a picture of the apparent solution given to me by the staff a 2nd cup half the size of my coffee. You can see where the steam from the coffee was leaking out the side of the lid down the cup. Not sure how it's possible in 2022 for a cup lid to fail, but whoever is in charge needs to source a better lid.

I've just been reading reviews for the Temple Meads boutique. Frankly I feel like I've missed my vocation in life.


Awful service. Rude girls who couldn't stop swearing and bad mouthing their customers.

The staff are generally unhelpful, moany and slow.

lady working at the time was rude and abrupt.

Disgusting customer service. I was not spoken to once.

Horrible service. Very bad attitude to the customers.
