Poland 2022: Ochman - River (+ EVIL NON-TWINS & Lidia Kopania KATASTROFIE)

Couldn't find a thread for this one, Poland is having a national final this year with many of the songs out already.

Lineup is as follows:

• Unmute – “Głośniej niż decybele” (Louder than decibels)
• Karolina Stanisławczyk & Chica Toro – “Move”
• Emilia Dębska (Mila) – “All I need”
• Daria – “Paranoia”
• Krystian Ochman – “River”
• Lidia Kopania – “Why does it hurt”
• Kuba Szmajkowski – “Lovesick”
• Karolina Lizer – “Czysta woda” (Clean water)
• Siostry Szlachta – “Drogowskazy” (Signposts)
• Ania Byrcyn – “Dokąd” (Where)

The favourites seem to be Ochman (recent Voice of Poland winner who has had a few hits) and Daria ("Paranoia" is already a decent hit in Poland). Ochman's song isn't out yet.



Unmute's song is completely in sign language and could be a dark horse:


"Czysta woda" is getting some love in the Eurovision community too:

Looks like Poland now have the shortest odds with various bookies. Obviously doesn't mean much at this stage but I wonder which song in this lineup is causing the fuss... I'd guess they're predicting Unmute could be a moment?

River is getting a lot of fan hype but apparently Paranoia is still the favourite - it’s been a really big hit. Although we’ve been here before Poland.

River would obviously do really well with the juries if he can sing it, but I don't think it's a winner unless it's a really split year between juries and the public (which is, after all, what it took for Arcade to win).

Neither was Nobody But You - it still won the jury vote? There's clearly a general sound that tends to be jury catnip that this falls into. I'd be astonished if this wasn't top ten if they sent it and the staging was up to scratch.

Let him finish top 5 and have Poland feel like they've achieved something decent in this world FOR ONCE!
