ABBA Voyage Chart tracker RECORD BREAKING NO.1 ALBUM

When You Danced With Me was #8 in Sweden, Dan was #19 and Little Things Things #20

#6 in Italy is amazing, given the music market there now. Similar here, people don't buy albums anymore and they just stream SHIT, I wonder it will chart high/at all. Anything close to the top 10 would be unbelievable.

I have no idea about their chart record, but they were always very popular here, their Spanish versions helped a lot. Surely Waterloo was a big hit here?

I mean, I believe Abba Gold is from 1992, but I think they didn't released Oro until next year? Never mind.

I know Mr L has some Spanish CD singles from around the time of Gold/Oro, but I think they are just 2 or 3 track promos rather than a medley. Haven't checked for a while though, and haven't catalogued any of the CDs on discogs yet to check there.

That's more a few excerpts put together than a proper medley, my goodness, I hope they didn't release that as a single here :D I don't remember it at all, so I guess they sent it to radio stations and they probably never played them :eyes:

Can't remember if we saw this in detail yesterday. From ukmix:

Also not sure which countries we've recorded here, but don't think I noticed #1 in Norway and New Zealand.

HitsDailyDouble has the final estimate at #2 in the US with 79,000 total. Since 74,000 of them are pure sales, it is easily number one on the sales chart. Pretty impressive, especially since their previous highest charting album was number 14, for ABBA: The Album. Diana Ross isn't in the top 50

In Germany, the album also debuted at number one with over 200,000 chart sales. In its first week, it sold more copies than the rest of the albums chart combined and also reached the top of the year-end albums chart.

22k sold so far, probably looking at a 35k+ week? It's 3k behind Taylor and Lttle Mix.

#2 Canada, their highest peak for a studio album - although GH also got to #2, and GHV2 #1. Gold only reached #13.

Good second week UK sales. If they can manage over 30k that’s decent. With Adele next week meaning physicals through the roof, I wonder if they’ll get some traction (a little) with people buying her and grabbing them with it?

I think general they should hover above/around 20k this month and then pick up with Christmas gifting. the supermarkets will be stocking them, Adele and Ed so I expect them all to sell well through December

I noticed that the one supermarket still stocking a few CDs near me didn't take either Taylor Swift or Little Mix this week and haven't changed their chart from last week at all. I mean, talk about the wrong week to stop selling CDs! :octy:

The Sainsbury's I use most often stopped selling CDs in the summer, but they have both Sheeran and ABBA in promo stands by the entrance. I assume they will also get Adele next week.

I wonder how easy is for sales like that to be tracked? As surely if they’ve stopped selling CDs they no longer report.

Though admittedly in the computer age it might be an easy Head Office group submission, I suppose.

Another debut, one of the most popular singers here (not that I can name a single song), regular coach in The Voice.
