I just wanted to put something a bit abstract and ambient in the mix, as that was very much going on as well.

This is reminding me of that era in the early 90s when world music became very popular. Remember those PURE MOODS albums? Basically the first wave of chillout music before the explosion in 2000. Started mostly by Enigma and Enya and then Deep Forest. And loads of songs that were used in TV ads. I LOVED IT.
