Ed Sheeran - Subtract (-)

Given he's pretty much the poster child for the flattening effect of streaming on the charts, it's interesting that he's relying on physical sales now to get to #1.

UK singles charts 31/3.
01 60,265 Ed Sheeran - Eyes Closed [24,025 CDs, 3,928 downloads, 32,312 streaming]
02 46,888 Miley Cyrus - Flowers
03 46,151 Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding - Miracle
04 32,611 Libianca - People
05 28,882 The Weeknd - Die for You
06 28,554 Rema - Calm Down
07 24,313 Lizzy McAlpine - ceilings
08 23,437 Jimin - Like Crazy [14,152 downloads]
09 22,204 Harry Styles - As It Was
10 20,471 PinkPantheress - Boy's a liar

He didn't even top the download chart, Jimin from BTS beat him there. Hopefully that'll indicate a rapid drop for this song (not that I've even heard it yet :D )
He also wouldn't have beaten Miley's weekly total until her 7th week at #1. Although no doubt would have signed a few thousand more 99p CD singles or pulled out half a dozen remixes or a duet had not being #1 been a real possibility.

14 no.1s, each one of them complete and utter dog shit. He's an ugly Westlife

I liked the singles on the X album, and “End Game” so he’s not completely worthless to me.

The album had a weak showing its first day out.
