In which country do you live?
United Kingdom

How many years have you been watching the Eurovision Song Contest
1995 was the first contest I saw, but I didn't start REALLY paying attention until 2002

Quickly, name three countries whose entries you generally like
Sweden, Norway, Iceland

(Just so I don't look TOO stereotypical, I'll throw Switzerland, Serbia and Albania in there too)

Carola or Amina - which do you wish had won?
Amina, with Carola winning in 2006 to make up for it. Although that destroys my theory that Dima Bilan (gay) ought to have won in 2006 to enable Shady Lady or Kalo:moira: to take the crown in oh eight.

Do you know who Lotta Engberg is?
Some ugly fucking old bitch from Sweden (from 1987)?

What is your favourite winning song of the...

...2000s?
Ruslana - Wild Dances :disco: (Or Molitva :geek:)

...1990s?
Oh, it's SUCH a tough fight between Diva and Love Shine A Light. Probably the latter :(

...1980s?
Ne partez pas sans moi

...1970s?
Waterloo by default I'm afraid!

...1960s?
Vivo Cantando :disco:

Can you sing any of the winning songs from the 1950s?
None unfortunately :(

If you had a Eurovision song played at your funeral, which would it be?
In A Moment Like This, complete with travelator transporting the coffin :disco: Or maybe Song #1 with some sort of CORPSE DANCE BREAKDOWN incorporated.

Is CatCat's Bye Bye Baby the greatest Finnish song ever?
Don't be RIDICULOUS, it's clearly Hanna Pakarinen - Leave Me Alone (OR JARI - Two To Tango :disco:)

Which is your favourite nil points entry ever? (You can pick Pierro and the Music Stars, Little My)
Jemini - Cry Baby :(

Rate the following out of 100...
(0 = Worse than Hitler, if you saw them on the other side of the road, you'd run up to them and push them in traffic
50 = Quite indifferent to them
100 = You'd throw yourself in front of traffic if you thought they would be impressed by it)

Carola = 75

Cliff Richard = 40

Ofra Haza = 40

Lena Philipsson = 100 :disco::disco::disco:

Skamp = 25

What is the most played Eurovision tune on your computer/mp3 player?
Over the years, it's probably been Serebro - Song #1. ALSO THE THIRTIETH GREATEST TRACK OF THE LAST DECADE.

:D Have just noticed this!

The derision I've faced on here for liking Jari's Takes 2 to tango. It's the Hallelujahs that do it for me. :shy:

Goh, I guess it would be Hero, though I did saw La Voix reaching 1k once on my old mp3 player... I think I have deleted/re-uploaded my music too often.

I avoided doing this because I really am such a newcomer :shy:

In which country do you live?

I my defence I missed a LOT of years between 2003 and 2010. Having just youtubed it, it's not really as good as I remember... I suppose my rubbishgai teenage self was won over by the costume change.

Questionnaire

In which country do you live? - United Kingdom

How many years have you been watching the Eurovision Song Contest - the first one I remember watching is 1986, but I vaguely remember Bobbysocks winning the year before. So that's 26 years. FUCK.

Quickly, name three countries whose entries you generally like - Sweden, Albania, Norway

Carola or Amina - which do you wish had won? - Obviously Carola! I remember being a very happy 12 year old gay watching her snatch victory!

Do you know who Lotta Engberg is? - Pphhhh... Do I know who Lotta Engberg is? Her Eurovision entry is probably the WORST song she has ever entered MF with. She should have won in 1996 with Juliette och Jonathan. Even though I love Den vilda.

What is your favourite winning song of the...

...2000s? - Everyway That I Can - Sertab Ereber (Turkey 2003)

...1990s? - Fångad av en stormvind - Carola (Sweden 1991)

Can you sing any of the winning songs from the 1950s? Refrain and Een Beetje a little.

If you had a Eurovision song played at your funeral, which would it be? That's a TOUGH one. I'd definitely have Te Deum but Eurovision song wise I'd probably choose Israel 2005 in its English version - Time To Say Goodbye. And there's not a HINT of irony in that choice! :D

Is CatCat's Bye Bye Baby the greatest Finnish song ever? Quite possibly. Though Sata salamaa would run it close.

Which is your favourite nil points entry ever? (You can pick Pierro and the Music Stars, Little My) - Oooh it's a close one between two, but Lass IBM by Gunvor (Switzerland 1998) just wins. Those backing singers :manson:

Rate the following out of 100...
(0 = Worse than Hitler, if you saw them on the other side of the road, you'd run up to them and push them in traffic
50 = Quite indifferent to them
100 = You'd throw yourself in front of traffic if you thought they would be impressed by it)

Carola - 85 - I LOVE her at times and I HATE her at times but she has given us three MAX tracks at Eurovision plus another amazing National Final entry. And no, I don't mean the duet with Andreas Johnson.

Cliff Richard - 15

Ofra Haza (RIP) - 80 - Taken to soon. :(

Lena Philipsson - 100 - Who the phrase QoL was invented for. :disco:

Skamp - 55

What is the most played Eurovision tune on your computer/mp3 player?
Kalla nätter by Jessica Andersson (Melodifestivalen 2006) but if we are talking ACTUAL Eurovision entries then its Invincible by Carola (Sweden 2006). That's probably due to 2006 being the first time I got iTunes and I've never reset my play counts so that year has an advantage. About 40 of my top 60 played songs are Eurovision related. :o

Eva Boto is fabulous. If only Slovenia had sent this instead of Verjamem. They would have qualified at least!
