Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream

Did Bjorn make an appearance tonight? If not, surely he'll at least record something for the finale. I don't see why we should be heavily invested seeing as he doesn't seem to give a shit.

Mind you, Judy Craymer is a great comedy villain. And I suspect a bit of a style icon for the Princess of Wales. Who needs more?

No Bjorn, but CHER recorded a video message from beside her pool and did a good job of looking like she knew what it was for

It's the LIVE FINAL, lads. I assume no one's posted yet because you're all watching down your local pubs or at viewing parties (the whole nation has reached FEVER PITCH!!!)

I really hope the song choices were picked at random because Stevie getting THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC alongside a VT about her late mother, and then Esme getting My Love, My Life, hardly feels like the fairest.

I enjoyed the awkward catch-up with the eliminated contestants, where some had exciting news like "I'm now playing Princess Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin tour" and to others Zoe just had to be like "how are your kids?"

With all solos done, my winners remain Esme and Owen (but I'm thinking it'll be Stevie and Owen).

I was probably favouring Tobias narrowly over Owen because I'd marginally prefer him sitting on my face, and he's local(ish).

Never mind, Esme can be the Jessie Buckley to Stevie's Jodie Prenger, and Owen can be the whoever it was who finished second to Lee Mead to Tobias's Lee Mead.

Who DID finish second to Lee Mead? Was it blonde one with dangerously straight noughties hair who went on to do porn?

Well I never knew one of the Josephs went into porn :o

I'm less excited about this after googling and finding out which one, but he looks better these days than he did then. Good luck to him, it probably pays better than the equity rate for musical theatre, and much more sociable hours.

Keith Jack came second. A quick google tells me he's touring a revue show with John Barrowman, and is currently locked in a bitter dispute with Amazon about a missing delivery.

Just finished watching now. I've favoured Stevie over Esme for most of the series, but I thought Esme was FAR stronger tonight. And Stevie did have the advantage of the best known solo. She had the only track of the four which is on Abba Gold, which must be a big advantage. Esme and Tobias didn't even have songs that are in the musical or first film.

I also thought Tobias was better than Owen but not to the same extent as the girls. And Owen had the more well known song - although Tobias had the better one.

I thought Esme was much better too.

The judges seemed very much in favour of Tobias for the role of Sky, while Owen got more general you deserve to be on the stage comments. I don't think the song did him any favours tonight.

It was a curiously JOLLY Our Last Summer.

One thing I hadn't realised is that those poor finalists have been waiting for more than SIX MONTHS between the semi-final and tonight's finale. The rest of the series filmed back in May and early June!

I did think that Samantha didn't look particularly pregnant in the Greece footage and she now has a child.

No wonder Owen needed to get a front of house job in the interim.

I only realised when Zoe Ball mentioned 'bubba' to Samantha Banks that she had a baby in October. I don't remember noticing a bump during the rest of the series. Or perhaps I wasn't paying attention.

Her instagram says she was playing Elsa in Frozen until she was 8 months pregnant. I imagine she can't have had the biggest of bumps for the evil Mouse overlords to allow that?!

It felt quite unwise of him to give the specific theatre and show (even a flop ITV show will create stalkers), so I hope it's because he's got something else lined up regardless rather than him just thinking he'd be leaving to play Sky
