Celebrity X Factor LINE UP CONFIRMED

Not surprised at Ricki Lake getting the boot but absolute BAFFLED at Martin Bashir surviving that elimination. :D

I guess entertainment factor but still...

Sorry, I’m puzzled.

Is X Factor AllStars not a thing that’s happening anymore?

That's what I am wondering. Paula Abdul said a few weeks ago she was approached to be a judge in it so there must be something in the works. It's been stated it is meant to be 2 shows or something but no idea if for the UK/US version or even if they are still going through with it.

All Stars is happening AFTER Celebrity is over. It’s only on for a week, with a show every night. It’s also going to have stars from other X Factors around the world including Australia and the US.

Paula is replacing Nicole because Nicole has other commitments.

OH! I’m not quite sure why we need former contestants from the overseas varieties though. Ablisa and Diva Fever not available? :(

Martin Bashir/Ricki Lake/Vinnie Jones/Tryhard. What a bunch of absolute SHIT that even I don’t know if I will be tuning in again for. The ones that were OK sang varying degrees of shit songs.

3.5 million in the overnights.

Surely this is going to end up being a truncated series. It's hard to think of anything ITV could show in that slot that would perform WORSE.

Particularly since you can only vote on the app. How is this making money at ALL?

I think there's definitely more than a few of the acts that can sing. I agree, the songs choices were poor.

Easily, the best is Megan. For once Simon was on point with his critique, her outfit was so distracting and really jarring with the song.

Cowell is still banging on about it being the biggest show for 16-34 year olds, and how so many more watch on youtube. So presumably it's all from advertising, isn't it? I don't imagine phone voting has created that much revenue for some time anyway.

What is the point of it all, though? I mean Megan has already had a career and a tv series promoting it, and she still flopped hard. Is there a recording contract as a prize?

You can only vote through the (free) app now, anyway, I think.

I suppose. They did announce during the show that it was trending on Twitter, but I still there's a bit of a GREY AREA on what that actually MEANS - particularly when it's clear that lower numbers than ever are actually watching it live on television.

Yes, the winner gets a deal with Syco, I think.

One of the tabloids today is reporting that Cowell is about to sign a new deal for both BGT and X Factor, another that there is a new ITV controller, and she's looking to axe it.

V5 should have got Simons seat. Try Star were HIDEOUS, and not sexy whatsoever to these eyes. Keeping Martin over Olivia was another awful decision. Sorry that Vinnies wife died, but I have never watched anything quite so bad. I am THAT disgusted I don’t think I will tune in next week, and I love X Factor.

Megan and V5 were both good, but other than that what a SHITSHOW.

It came across like the sort of thing that was put together for Children In Need/Comic Relief. Except without ANY self-awareness whatsoever; everyone was just phoning it in.

I went through this in 10 minutes. What a lot of shit. Meghan is good but she’s just not a very likeable person. It’s too difficult to shake off that persona of a total cunt that she was on Big Brother. Ok, it’s been a few years since then but she’s NOT a popstar.

The only act which would have any sort of a chance at an actual career is V5.

Megan is #2 on iTunes. Good going considering the show aired on Saturday. You would have thought it would have dropped like a stone by now.

Yes, she seems to be holding well. She's also at #19 and #74 with Everything But You.

According to Spotify, here's the number of plays each act has had of their songs as of 11am today:

Meghan McKenna - 72,125
No Love Lost - 25,800
V5 - 5,038
Max & Harvey - 4,336
Kevin McHale - 2,928
Jonny Labey - 1,923
Try Star - 1,569
Olivia Olson - 1,467
Jenny Ryan - 1,384
Martin Bashir - <1,000
Ricki Lake - <1,000
Victoria Ekanoye - <1,000
Vinnie Jones - <1,000

No surprise that the two at the top are the most 'famous' when it comes to the young audience, I mean why else would people stream No Love Lost - they are are absolutely AWFUL! Interesting to see that all the overs are at the bottom. V5 aren't doing too bad in third place considering they're by far the most unknown act. It's pretty much a one-horse race though.

Good for her.

I thought her song was actually quite sweet.

As much as Cowell is banging on about those precious 16-34 year olds tuning in, they obviously aren't overly bothered about actually listening after much, are they? Even Megan's figure equates to under 500 sales, so that iTunes #2 is going to mean precious little in the final chart.

Under 500 sales for the #2 spot on iTunes? That really is diabolical, isn’t it?
