Just read the list of unvaccinated as a bunch of young, healthy people. Society is weeding out the old and sick on your behalf. (And health workers too, but whatever)
My mum and sister have been Pfizered in Qatar. I have a bigger chance of getting mine there than in France. My Dad is over 70 and he hasn't been made an offer yet.
So maybe you and I will be lucky and get a job in October with the way things are going on the mainland
Haven't we all.Pfizered in Qatar.
When does Moopy get HERD IMMUNITY?
I'm actually surprised a majority said no! Seeing as Le Figaro readers are mostly anti-vaxers, right wingers and karens.I see that Le Figaro ran an online poll which has over 100,000 votes, asking whether the AZ rollout should have been suspended. 55% responded no, 45% yes. I think in the UK there would be a stronger feeling against suspending any of the vaccines

CUNTS. That's where it's positioned. To be honest I didn't know where it was positioned on the political spectrum
Perhaps the rollout has been slow because a third of the jabs you’re having have come from the EU, same goes for most of those given out in Canada, etc. We're about to fuck up the EU banning exports because their rollout has been slow?

The whole AZ debacle is definitely on the EU (the states rather than the Union really). Though I’m expecting that to be resolved as soon as the EMA gives its green light (AGAIN ) today, specially given that the reaction to stopping the rollout has actually been pretty negative. It's true, but I would attribute that to the EU taking control over the process for Member States and (in my view negligently) not putting enough orders in early. I also read in this FT article that, as a result of scaremongering about AZ, a significant number of people in Europe are refusing to take it and so stockpiles are growing. So that's presumably part of the issue, too. And that was before the "blood clot" suspension.
I read that the threat by the EU to block exports is in relation to the Pfizer vaccine rather than the AZ vaccine (which is odd given that they've been putting political pressure on AZ). I wonder if that's because people are refusing to take AZ so the focus is now on Pfizer. In relation to Pfeizer, The Independent reports:
Asked if this included invoking Article 122, which could result in the bloc effectively seizing production or waiving intellectual property rights to secure vaccine supplies for member states, [Ursula von der Leyen] said: “All options are on the table."
Macron was blabbing about sending 5% of EU jabs to poorer countries, though I don’t know if this still stands in the current vaccine WAR.Still, it's rubbish that anyone has to wait.
And what about other countries outside of "the West"? I know we/the EU is going to give stock away after our populations have been vaccinated, but the fact that this means other countries have to wait is also rubbish. I feel pangs of guilt about that.

I don’t see why we should keep trying to save the world before ourselves. GIVE ME MY BLOODY JAB GOD DAMMIT.
Apparently we're getting some Moderna next month.
In other new, China is now accepting foreign visitors who have been vaccinated....as long as the vaccine came from China.
France is resuming as wellYep. I see Cyprus and Italy have already confirmes they will resume AZ jabs today.

Yes but because of all the bad press surrounding AZ in Europe, apparently only 20% of French people have confidence in it. I'm pro-EU and anti-Brexit (bien sur), but I think the whole AZ fiasco in Europe has been really unfortunate politicking on the part of the EU to be honest. And the only people that will suffer as a consequence will be EU citizens.France is resuming as well
I read that France is only offering AZ to over-55s based as reports of blood clots had only been for younger people, so the messaging is still wonky.
