It's just that I have the presence of mind to see this as a first rehearsal and maintain the objectivity that existed in this thread for literally every first rehearsal other than ours. I'm seeing fun staging, hearing a good song and remembering that in a contest where Latvia, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Australia, Georgia, North Macedonia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Belgium, Israel and Ireland's songs also exist, allegations of us being anywhere near the bottom of the pile are totally unfounded.

I'm sorry to have to use my grown up voice but you're all very clearly evil and it's beyond time someone was prepared to be the hero.

Yeah we can still finish ahead of 14 of those and still finish bottom.

Well it does help that you like the song. All those countries you compare it to though, it's worth pointing out that 75% of them won't be in the final, so that doesn't leave much breathing room for James :D If this was a one-night contest with them all then yes, I imagine he might have a chance of finishing 33rd out of 40 or whatever.

All I can say BT is I love and support you and really hope you're actually right, I would be super happy if we challenge for a Lucie type result.

They're just the ones James is objectively better than. It all depends which way the wind is blowing on the night. If all of the uptempos fall in the semis then I'll know we're fucked. If they all qualify then I'll know we're fucked.
 
Those results are entirely within expectations. France and Italy splitting the vote, with the others scrambling at the bottom for whatever they can get.
 
I think the press can only vote for three songs each so those numbers make sense.
 
The second rehearsal clips are weird, with Greece (which looks incredible) we get to see the chorus, but San Marino it's the start of Senhit's song.

Hope Natalia has a charity tin on the edge of the stage for her fare home
