Ellie Goulding - Higher Than Heaven (5th album) + Let it Die

presumably it's not the same as the Delirium bonus track, but I guess with her just because an era's over doesn't mean it's really over :eyes:

Let It Die is a little nice bop

Love the single cover too

album is called Higher Than Heaven - seems like this billboard might be the cover art?

album trailer with a few short previews, all sounding very boppy :disco: including Cure For Love, Like a Saviour and Love Goes On

full trailer with more snippets and some clips from the Let It Die video

the first song sounds so good fuck. very Halcyon

I hope this new album campaign is not tainted by All By Myself's RUNAWAY CHART SUCCESS! :basil:

11 songs on the main album, 16 on deluxe including All By Myself. writers include Greg Kurstin, Julia Michaels, Andrew Watt, Jesse Shatkin and Stephen Koz.

How many versions of Ellie Goulding does one need?

had a dream we were a beautiful endeavour

Some radio station here that mostly plays stuff in English started giving All By Myself some spins. omg she just keeps WINNING.

I'm an Ellie fan/loon but it has never crossed my mind that anything she has done could be considered "iconic" except that fucking Love me like you do song.

Looking at her Wiki page, I had no idea Easy Lover actually charted on (minor) Billboard charts, slay us Queen.

Her streaming numbers with the last album weren't bad but they're mainly based on the singles she released 1-2 years before the album that are now nearly 5 years removed. So not sure what momentum she has with this project. "Hate Me" and "Close to Me" are well over a half billion streams, with "Sixteen" at over 300m, despite none of them really setting the charts alight. Meanwhile "Easy Lover" is only at 18m. :(

Close To Me was a surprisingly big hit in America. It reached #2 on Pop Radio. (Only 24 on the Hot 100 though, so maybe it took a while to rack up all those streams).
