I have developed antibodies against her.
I’ve had that immunity since 2008.

It feels like any major pop star or diva who spans a career of 20+ years ends up with some kind of complex. Because their peaks were so iconic, anything past their peak inevitably becomes dismissed and ridiculed.

Everyone loves Cher. People are incredibly fond of / concerned about Britney. Mariah's rebrand to Christmas / meme queen has been very successful. Some queens quietly stan Janet. Céline is everyone's favourite batshit-crazy aunt, living her best life post spousal-death. Kylie, amongst Brit and Aussie gays, remains an angelic figure. It feels like any major pop star or diva who spans a career of 20+ years ends up with some kind of complex. Madonna is the ONLY 80-90s "diva" to be so reviled these days.

Again, they only say that about Madonna (and mostly because for the last decade, she has insisted on collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Diplo which did her no favours). New Cher music is always warmly received by online gays; Caution gave Mariah her best reviews since Emancipation; Janet's recent album announcement earned positive buzz (after her previous album was a critical hit). I would argue that 2020 is the best time to be an "ageing diva" for everyone EXCEPT Madonna since about 2000.But I'm also talking about the music. I hate it when people say "Stop making music. You had a good run, now pack it up and call it a day". When in reality, a lot of them continue to make excellent post-peak music. Kylie, Mariah and Dolly especially.
MDNA had some great moments (Falling Free, Love Spent); Rebel Heart was dire; Madame X... overrated - I only kept God Control.
Confessions was her last end-to-end great album.
I like "Some Girls", "Falling Free", "Turn up the Radio" and "Masterpiece"
Never got the universal dislike of TUTR.
That's the best one so far!Hancock Pancock
I should have kept that one to myself because on a scale of one to ten, it's about a minus three but I;m having fun now.
Sorry but Girl Gone Wild is not shit. It's a solid dance track with a great hook.
MDNA was not bad, I loved it
