I don't think it's anywhere near as blatant a ripoff of Royals as was made out. It's mostly the word putting the comparison in everyone's heads - it's nowhere near as bad as Dotter - Cry was with Issues, or Lucie Pinera was with Rolling In The Deep.

One thing I've realised from following this stuff slightly more closely this year is that the majority of these people who describe the early snippets are generally RUBBISH and don't have the knowledge to write about music in the way they think they do
