I’m going to listen to this album again later this evening. I haven’t played it I need full in years. I need to rectify this.
 
I.....don’t like the album version of Time Will Pass You By. It was just too cynical.

I wonder if we’ll ever get to hear the other M-People tracks. There were more than one.

What bugs me about Time Will Pass You By is the vocal. It sounds like it was written for Heather Small.

This is (obviously) SO M PEOPLE. The intro is more or the less the same as Movin' on Up. It's such a good closer. Like a finale of a cheesy stage play. Love it a lot!

I have to finish making dinner so in advance Too Far is absolutely one of my favourite things she’d recorded ever.

Too Far is completely ridiculous and manic and all over the place. I absolutely love it.

It does however set the precedent for the random CHOICE of every song on this album being sung OFF KEY.

Coyboy Style was always a bit meh for me. I hated the wailing in the chorus.

That is until Fever2002. SLAYED. That mashup was INSPIRED!
 
Really really weird she didn’t do it on the Golden Tour though.

I mean the banjo, the fiddle!
 
Cowboy Style is my joint fave here.

It takes those HOT EASTERN BEATS from Confide and transfuses them into a much neater, perkier pop package. The beats stuttering and rewinding in the mix are almost a bit of a late 90s hip-hop influence, or a precursor to Red Blooded Woman. But in comparison to that, this one feels really exciting and also organic for Kylie. There's something very delicious about it. Love the slow, deliberate way the hooks unfold. Definitely one of her most underrated tracks overall.

I’m pretty sure Cowboy Style is about Stephane Sednaoui.
