Don't even TRY to compete with this abomination.

I used to have these all the time as a kid.

How did I not get scurvy?

Tinned pasta is one of your 5 a day because of the tomato sauce :disco:

Beans are of course TWO, but they're not worth it.

I hadn’t bought Baked Beans for years, but post-Covid, having it on toast with a fried egg and melted cheese with Tabasco sauce has been a regular early evening meal.

With Weetabix though? WHAT?

Beans on toast doesn’t sound too bad, and I like canned noodle hoops, but that jello is just horrifying

I love beans and I do love that crispy crunchy taste of sawdust that weetabix is, but that combination is just criminal.

 Several of you obviously missed this DELIGHTFUL and EDUCATIONAL thread. https://www.moopy.co.uk/threads/delicious-70s-food-and-charming-home-furnishings.99121/

And if any more of you foreign lot start giving tinned goods shit we'll be applying some MEXIT border controls.

I've not had them in years, but I did love tinned spaghetti/hoops on toast as a kid - see also Heinz tinned ravioli, which is both vile AND essential.

I’ve never been into beans on toast, but jacket potato with BEANS and CHEESE, oh YES.
