Amanda going from strength to strength? :D/:(

Wow, Queen, Oasis, Bon Jovi and Roger Waters in the Top 4. It's clear which AGE GROUP still pays for music :eyes:

Maybe if some of us actually paid for our faves’ music, they’d be doing better in the charts.

I always buy the physical copies!

She’s going to be close. I don’t imagine Roisin will overtake so even if #11 comes up she may still hold on.

I think it has to actually ship to a UK address to count.

not to completely take over this thread with my Menly spamming, but I'm starting to wonder if Blame It On Me is in fact the best song on this record. Overall I think it's a good album which makes a decent stab at being contemporary, but that song actually IS completely fresh, packs a proper punch and could be a hit for various younger popstars today. excellent production.

I really like Overload but mostly for the dirty baseline than anything else.

Generally not a fan of her screechy vocals so the fact that these songs are relatively restrained for her is a bonus.

Yaaaas kween!

LOVES IT!

Amanda is actually UP to #5 today (and only 59 copies from #4) :D and since this is the de facto midweeks thread now, Mariah is down to #29 and Roisin at #11

I don't remember when she became Melanie E?

Anyhoo she now joins the other signed CDs on our shelf. Good company with Haim, All Saints and Jennifer Paige. :D

I imagine Amanda is probably better stocked in the supermarkets isn't she? As well as not being anywhere near as frontloaded as most of the other new releases.

Wednesday update

"Melanie C sold more than Corey Taylor and Roger Waters above her yesterday. She's 2k ahead of Roisin at #11, and 2.3k ahead of Bryson Tiller who is most likely going to be her competition for a top 10 spot."

Has Mel got any hot promo lined up?

BBC Breakfast - 05.10.2020 - 8.50 (did anyone watch?)
Sunday Brunch - Channel 4 - 11.10.2020
Klein Gegen Gross - Germany - (recorded 4th October. Airing 17th October. Thanks Douglas)

Thee D*nD*n FB group has been sharing a series of interviews more than anything plus Mel herself doing live streams on both FB/IG but that's it. She did some performances during summer and that's it.

Loons buying copies in bundles IS the promo, but I'm not familiar with the chart rules when it comes to buying bundles or if you're outside the UK, so I'm guessing most efforts will not work

So much promo, I might need to go have a lie down

Sunday brunch is a bit late though

Hoping for that second week bounce

I got the CD, the cassette, the vinyl, the book, the minidisc, the cushion cover, the bookmark, the chemistry set, the necklace and the butt plug.

disappointed she doesn’t have signed dams tbh
